Free Republic founder Jim Robinson has a message for supporters of Mitt Romney: go away.
In an email to POLITICO this afternoon, Robinson admitted that the site routinely blocks Romney supporters from posting -- and offered no apologies for the practice:
Free Republic is a pro-life, pro-family, pro-gun, pro-small government, pro-constitution, pro-liberty site. Governor Romney is none of the above. His record is that of an abortionist, gay rights pushing, gun grabbing, global warming advocating, big government, mandate loving, constitution trampling, flip-flopping liberal progressive with no core values. That and the fact that he is the chief architect and advocate for ObamaCare disqualifies him for any consideration whatsoever on Free Republic as a potential nominee for the presidency.

I'd much rather see you stay there in the rareified air of your self-proclaimed deity and give we the people a small demonstration of those god-like powers of conversion of which you boast. Problem: Romney will not honor his new positions. He will screw us as soon as he can. He is not a cypher. He has a belief system and it has nothing to do with conservatism.
Let’s hope we don’t have to suffer through another four years by solving the problem during the primaries. It isn’t over yet.

I refuse to believe what the lamestreams, Demons, Rino’s, moderates, GOP, DNC, ABC and 123 tell me when it comes to that! I’m fighting to the point of bloodletting to see that doesn’t happen but if it does I may just have to clean my toilet bowls on election day........well I might vote for anything BUT POTUS.
I'm late to this fracas - but mighty glad to see it, as it was over-due!
Just a follow-up for the kiddies here that are missing the boat, while bad-mouthing Republicans in general.
Note carefully, the Tea Parties (several together) are working within the GOP to CHANGE it - and they've done a hell of a good job so far!
So comments on this thread like: "I will vote 3rd party," and "everything wrong with the GOP" are short-sighted and unproductive. If you're not happy with the GOP establishment, get out here on the streets and help Tea Party people change the party from the GROUND UP! We've made great headway, but we need all the help we can get in every political district across this land. WE WANT TO OWN THE GOP - and eventually the top of it.
But NEVER, now - or in the foreseeable future, EVER SEND MONEY TO THE RNC! Put your money on candidates in your state, in your county, in your precinct - people you know that will stand by ALL conservative principles.

Agreed 100%. I’m a Cain supporter. I am simply prepared for the worst.
Every 4 years Jim lays down the law. He is King here and the rest of us vote with our feet. Or not. Why does this happen every 4 years? Simple, Jim has no inclination at all to provide bandwidth for free advertising to philosphies and candidates he abhors. In the same way liberals and moderates are not permitted to put signs on my property advertising their wares. Why would anybody of any political persuasion react differently?
