Free Republic founder Jim Robinson has a message for supporters of Mitt Romney: go away.
In an email to POLITICO this afternoon, Robinson admitted that the site routinely blocks Romney supporters from posting -- and offered no apologies for the practice:
Free Republic is a pro-life, pro-family, pro-gun, pro-small government, pro-constitution, pro-liberty site. Governor Romney is none of the above. His record is that of an abortionist, gay rights pushing, gun grabbing, global warming advocating, big government, mandate loving, constitution trampling, flip-flopping liberal progressive with no core values. That and the fact that he is the chief architect and advocate for ObamaCare disqualifies him for any consideration whatsoever on Free Republic as a potential nominee for the presidency.

There will be no campaign for abortionist, gay marriage pushing, gun grabbing, global warming pushing, big government, mandate loving, socialist healthcare pimping Romney on FR. Period. End of story. If you can’t live with that then say your goodbyes and leave.

I’ve read some of the posts in response to this article, and I think too many miss the point.
RINO’s are the enemy within the enemy within. They are the stealth while the Democrats are quite visible enemies of our Constitution, our way of life.
Romney is a RINO. There is no way around the fact period. He’s a RINO, and he’s exactly what we as Conservatives have to eliminate from the foundation of the GOP. We have to make the GOP Constitution friendly, and the only way to do that is to break the hold on the party by the enemy within that is complicit with the Democrat direction.
Today Romney is the choice of the RINO King makers of the GOP the people’s choice be damned.
We have to knock Romney down from the GOP pedestal. Splatter his ass, and show the RINO’s we aren’t going to take their obstinance, their arrogance, their flippin’ the wee birdie in our faces anymore.
That is my position on this anyway, so flame away.
You don’t realize what happens when RINOs are in charge do you? Right now we have republicans who want to keep their seats in republican districts even though they are RINOs. So they will vote against Obama and the democrats right along side TEA Party conservatives. Put a liberal republican in as president and you still get the liberal programs, but those same RINO republicans will vote for the liberal program because they have republican cover.
Romney is the poster boy for this. Gun bans, mandates, gays in the military, gay marriage and Obamacare were all championed by Mittens before Obama ever even got into office. Williard is also a big time manmade global warming supporter having no problem with crap and tax. All these would pass in Congress when Mitt proposes them because the dems want these things anyway. The RINOs want them as well. With a republican president proposing them, all those things would pass because the RINOs would have cover. Just supporting the president they’d say.
But when the people rise up in anger you can be sure the democrats will make certain the republicans get the credit for destroying our country.
Just say no to RINOs.

This conservative site was established to fight against government abuse and tyranny. If abortionist, gay marriage pushing, gun grabbing, global warming advocating, government healthcare pimping, mandate loving RINO Mitt Romney is not a constitution abusing tyrant, then I don’t know who is.
