Cain Gets Major Applause At Debate After Dismissing Harassment Claim
Real Clear Politics ^ | 11/9/11

CAIN: Yes. BARTIROMO: You know that shareholders are reluctant to hire a CEO where there are character issues. Why should the American people hire a president if they feel there are character issues?

CAIN: The American people deserve better than someone being tried in the court of public opinion based on unfounded accusations. That's...

(APPLAUSE)

And I value my character and my integrity more than anything else. And for every -- one person that comes forward with a false accusation, there are probably -- there are thousands who would say none of that sort of activity ever came from Herman Cain.

You're right. This country's looking for leadership. And this is why a lot of people, despite what has happened over the last nine days, are still very enthusiastic behind my candidacy. Over the last nine days...

(APPLAUSE)

Over the last nine days, the voters have voted with their dollars, and they are saying they don't care about the character assassination. They care about leadership and getting this economy growing and all of the other problems we face.

(APPLAUSE)

To be fair, he is a Cain supporter and probably promoting his services.

That said, I believe him and sense a very truthful nature to his statements.

I just wish he would come up with his own press conference with 20 women from all his previous jobs verifying for his behavior.

I just want it to stay that way. As for Princess Nancy and Prince Harry, I’m guessing that is from his columns or radio show, which I and probably a lot of others are not familiar with. No need to tempt the fates. They like his honesty regarding issues, but I still maintain, they like him for staying above fray of insults. jmo

I agree. Were we not told that when Juanita Brodrick came forward alleging Clinton and raped her brutally and bit her lower lip so bad she had to have stiches that”it was 10 years ago- Bill can’t defend himself— lets just MOVE ON!!” Did we not hear that from these same people. ?

Yep and they tried a second question towards Romney and he shut them down and they changed topics quickly. Best answer Romney gave all night.

Me too. I was not excited for this election AT ALL until about a month ago. Honestly, I was really not sure what I would do. But, I love Cain and have for nearly a decade since he worked on the FairTax.

I just hadn’t supported him because I was not sure if he could win, but he has really proved impressive after some initial gaffes. He needs to kick away that Block guy though.

What people don’t like is GOP attacking each other.

People are glad to see anyone put Obama, Pelosi and Reid in their place. He is receiving a lot of kudos for this today.

“I hope to gain some meaningful insight into how he would deal with Iran by watching how he instructs his new lawyer to deal with these scumbags trying to smear him.”

Me too. This may be very instructive to the voting populace.

I think I’m going to enjoy this very much.

“Also, We do not expect to hear from Mrs. Cain. She may have an issue with public speaking.”

Public speaking ranks as the #1 fear listed by people.

“Given the herd mentality of the MSM media after Maria got booed last night I think that a lot of them might start running from the story. “

I think it’s hilarious that this debate was a liberal network. Now all the lib viewers have seen a white woman rudely fling a “gotcha question” at an obviously well loved, dignified and respectful black man. They heard the boos at the question and the thunderous applause at Cain’s responses.

Had this debate been on FOX, the liberal viewers would have missed all that.

I’ve seen followups with independents say that they don’t like negatives. They want positive campaigns. We’ll have to agree to disagree in that one.

No need for profanity brother, I was pointing out that in the worst case, this doesn’t change my views at all. If he did, he did. If he didn’t he didn’t. Doesn’t change my mind at all. That was my one and only point.

Exactly! I'm at the point where I don't care if the allegations are 100% TRUE ... In fact, I wouldn't care if he'd had carnal knowledge of a German Shepherd dog! He is still the best man to take over the office of POTUS and get this country back on the path to greatness.

Personally, if you think Romney is the same as Obama, I want to get some of what you’re smoking. Romney may be a lot of things, but he’s worlds apart from a left-wing community organizer.

And considering a Chicago connection to the smear Cain campaign I suggest a deep look be taken into Axelrod’s involvement including his families communist background. It might even be that it was by means of that pipeline that an avid communist host for a Fresno business man in Moscow in 1992 was told that a half-black man by the name of Barack was being groomed for POTUSA. Recall also that Obama’s American family had extensive communist background. Someday all the dots will make a clearer picture of Obama and the sooner the better for the OSA.

I disagree entirely. Bialek’s story has major holes. Why did Cain allegedly ask “Why are you here”. How did she arrange the meeting without stating the reason? Makes no sense.

Also the fact that she made a point of publicly greeting him at a TeaParty event, hugging and whispering in his ear 14 years later but only a month prior to going public with her accusations.

That’s so fishy you could sell it for bait.
