Posted on 11/16/2011 8:51:11 AM PST by IMissPresidentReagan
Sorry for the late post. My uncle passed away this morning at 2:14. I want to sincerely thank every one of you for your prayers, because I know they were heard. He passed very peacefully and surrounded by family. Again, my most humble, and sincerest, as well as deepest appreciation for all who've expressed thoughts and said prayers on my and his behalf.

Research assignment: this had to be a few years back now but Rush was discussing Newt with some politico and the politico said Newt was a
horrible manager when he was Speaker. Rush sort of agreed and they moved along. It struck me then as a real inside politics tidbit but one they did not wish to linger over. Does anyone else recall this?
Newt has some good ideas but also can come up with a harebrained one just as easily. He has mostly functioned as an individual contributor, so while we've known Newt a long time, where's the executive experience? There's a reason governors make better Presidents than Congresscritters (for the most part).

Actually that statement from Newt did not help. The story in that statement is different then what Newt said in the debate last Wed.
Newt better get out in front of this and fast. He better go public will all the documentation he has explaining what really happened here.
Or wait, does that Karl Rove stated standard of how to respond only apply to the NON GOP Establishment candidates like Cain?

Anyone else who can't get Rush's show from the WABC website?
I had WABC on when I left the room and now I have silence. Speakers are on, volume isn't muted. Refreshed the connection, but I didn't get anything.
Internet is apparently working (because I'm here).

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a national media so actively engaged in tearing down/choosing Republican candidates in a Presidential race. Or is this just the first time I’ve noticed it?

This is worse than 2008. It’s because they know their boy Obama is trouble, and they can’t have anyone remotely conservative in the race. Therefore, it must be Romney.
