Cain to decide on White House bid 'before Monday'

Republican presidential hopeful Herman Cain will decide "before Monday" on whether to quit the race for the White House as claims of a 13-year affair threatened to end a campaign dogged by sex scandals.

Cain, once the front-runner to take on President Barack Obama in November 2012 elections, has denied wrongdoing, saying he was only friends with his latest accuser, Ginger White, who says they had a sexual relationship.

"Before Monday we'll make a decision," Cain said in an interview on Fox News late Thursday, admitting that a flurry of allegations of misconduct had sent his presidential bid "off message."

"It's not fair to my family, it's not fair to my supporters, it's not fair to this campaign, it's every week, now three out of four weeks... we've been hit with another one of these accusations," he said.

"The decision could be we're going to continue with this campaign, full speed ahead. The decision could be we're going to suspend the campaign.

WHat the heck do you mean “paying this woman”... as in a service?

SERIOUSLY?

He gave this woman money to help her out, paying bills. He has done the same for other people, male and female, according to family and friends.

I have done the same, my husband has done the same. Yes, both of us have given money to help others without telling each other too. It’s not hard to do when you live fairly comfortably. My husband is one of the most generous people I know, and it has never bothered me that he gives money to friends in need.

I CANNOT BELIEVE CONSERVATIVES ARE BEATING THIS MAN DOWN FOR PHILANTRHOPY.

What is wrong with all of you?

Wrong, you need to put the hot toddy away, and stop calling other people what you are yourself.

“Judging others by your filthy sense of values can hurt a lot of decent people. He is a Millionaire that gives to people in need. I guess you never had the grace to do that, so it is foreign to you.”

Amazing, the naivete of some people. The only one who has a filthy sense of values here is Herman Cain, but I guess that concept is foreign to you.

Newtie wanted to be married to Marianne and Callista at the same time. That is sick, and sounds like he wanted to be a Mormon from 120 years ago.

“Speaking of ugly, hateful and unfounded accusations...”

Can’t handle the truth, can you?

Is that the truth? A lot of things have been said about Newt Gingrich and a lot of those things have been debunked as lies. What I can’t handle is hypocrites who smear any Republican candidate that isn’t their own and any FReeper who supports them. Or wild accusations of racism against other FReepers.

If Cain quits, Soros and the media win. I’d rather see him continue and ask the media why they won’t examine Obama as closely as they do the conservatives.

Heck, he could be brave and raise the eligibility issue, something no Republican has the will to do. That might shake things up a bit.

One might question whether Donald Trump is much of a Republican or even a politician but he did raise the eligibility question. He actually caused the 0bama administration to panic and hastily put out a completely phony BC.

He said he gave her money for “month to month expenses” and some people assume that means he gave her money every month. And then stretch it to “he paid her rent.”

Gloria warned Herman on Greta weeks ago: If you screw up, “you will stand at that podium alone”. And she meant it. Without her, his campaign is done. Tragic destruction of a fine career and reputation. And for what? Clinton was ON TAPE telling Gennifer Flowers to deny an affair during the NH Primary - and he STILL came in 2nd, and then won the Presidency. All because Hillary has no soul and stood by him and lied, and kept lying and denying right through and beyond Lewinsky (”vast, right-wing conspiracy”). Gloria Cain is no Hillary. She has a soul and a fear of God. What a marvelous First Lady she might have made - in a parallel universe. In THIS one, Liberals are immune to scandal, while conservatives are undone by the slightest hint of one - even an unproven one. Yet Newt is somehow immune to his scandals, because they are no longer “newsworthy”. And so the beat goes on. Progressive Democrats, Progressive Republicans. And as Mark Levin says, we move further away from a Constitutional Republic with every election.

Exactly. There really isn't much of a difference..."meet the new boss..."

"sounds like he wanted to be a Mormon from 120 years ago"

That's not possible.
Newt is only 100 years old.

Are there any sane Cain supporters here?

Poor Cain. At the pace the media is tearing him down, it won’t be long until his brand reaches/descends to Newt’s level. Well, we still have Perry!
