On private call, Republicans say attacking Obama personally is too dangerous: Yahoo News exclusive
YAHOO ^ | December 6, 2011 | Rachel Rose Hartman

Republicans on a private Republican National Committee conference call with allies warned Tuesday that party surrogates should refrain from personal attacks against President Barack Obama, because such a strategy is too hazardous for the GOP.

"We're hesitant to jump on board with heavy attacks" personally against President Obama, Nicholas Thompson, the vice president of Tarrance Group, a Republican polling firm, said on the call. "There's a lot of people who feel sorry for him."

(snip)

On the call--which Yahoo News was invited to attend because of a mistake by someone on the staff of the Republican National Committee--Ari Fleischer, the former press secretary for George W. Bush, encouraged Republicans to turn around the Democratic attacks lobbed at the GOP presidential candidates-- Mitt Romney and Newt Gingrich, for starters-- for "flip-flopping."

While conservatives are being relentlessly savaged about accustations, allegations, rumors, gossip and conjecture in the MSM, the Republicans are expressing fear about mentioning the instututional corruption, incompetence, blatant racism and duplicity of the most transparently malignant and bumbling presidency in American history. Looks like four more years of Obama.

The RNC/GOP establishment has become the enemy of conservatism.

They’re working overtime to force a replay of 2008 on us. In their twisted universe, Romney is the next “McCain” in line, he will be the nominee, he (and his media surrogates) will not permit any disparagement of Obama. They will be having none of using Obama’s middle name, calling him a socialist, or questioning his personal associations with the likes of Jeremiah Wright and Bill Ayers.

If they succeed in forcing Romney on us, they’re going to throw a popular conservative, such as Marco Rubio, on the ticket with him. It’s the McCain/Palin template all over again. Because it worked so well last time.

Fabian Socialist

Norm, moved by your appeal to Sweet Reason, I shall henceforth no longer refer to my POTUS as that "Lowdown Mombasa Commie MF" rhymes with "trucker." "Commie" rhymes with "Mommie.")

And now I am going into the wilds of Aroostoock County to find someone who still knows what a "Fabian" Socialist actually is. I'll look for someone who took Roman History in a prep school of the late 1940's, or maybe British History more recently. I don't think I'll be asking around the Wal-Mart Parking Lot amongst the grossly overweight tattooed and pierced Americans who probably do feel sorry for Obama and who also by now might make up more than 50% of the electorate.

The RNC and I certainly do not want a peasant revolt on our hands. That might endanger Olympia and Susy's chances for re-election.

PS, Fabian is still alive and would make a mighty attractive candidate.

Not a dime’s worth of difference among the beltway elites. The gasbags that argue with each other on the talk shows go out for drinks together afterward.

I just sent an email to the RNC for those who are not in this to win this for the future of America itself, I asked them to step down, let those who are willing to go after Obama & the Dems for screwing up this country and NOT protect the Washington establishment. Yes, I am pissed about this crap.
