My Dad Has Graduated from this life about 22:00 Mountain Time. All: THX TONS 4 Prayers
Step-Sister's phone call | 7 Dec 2011 | Quix

Posted on 12/07/2011 4:39:55 PM PST by Quix

My Blood Dad is dying in great pain.

He has broken his hip the 3rd time. His vitals are too poor to operate.

They don't even know if they can move him at all due to the great pain.

He has reportedly made his peace with God and forgiven everyone.

Please pray that he graduates from this life as painlessly and quickly as The Lord would wish for him.

Sigh. BIG SIGH.

This is mother's birthday and the day her father died.

Sigh.

I know some prayer threads are in this forum. If this is not fitting, please move it where it is.

I'm more than a little discomboobalated.

Thanks in advance for all the prayers and caring so typical of all of you.

My deep condolences, Quix. You will see your dad, again, and find him the way you always wanted him to be.

“But without faith it is impossible to please Him: for He that comes to God must believe that He is, and that He IS a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.” Heb 11:6

And that’s you, Quix! The Spirit of the Almighty God is within you and will help you through this difficult time - you have that assurance.

Wow! I am truly Humbled! I lost my Father in 1994. It caused division in my Family. I am one of seven. My Father died taking care of my invalid Mother. I just moved in to help my father. Well, He died.

Two of my brethren tried to force or said they would put my mother into a home with strangers.I do not know what went on behind my back. I was willing to live with my Mother. It was very trying. Thank God for our greatest resource which is prayers.

Without getting into all that. It did turn out all right eventually. We forgave each other. I forgave right away but was not going to allow something my mother did not want. We had caregivers while I worked and other family at times. But My brother keep the faith which you are.

I will pray for All in your Family and this person! Thank you for you Christian witness!! How many times did he say to Peter to fiorgive? seven times seventy! God Bless you Heart! Praise Jesus always!!!

:)
A hard thing to go thru, especially at this time of year, but a little easier to know He’s with our Lord. Thank you also for your kind words.

INDEED ON BOTH COUNTS.

It’s still hard thinking of him no longer being in this time-space dimension.

For 65 years he’s always been somewhere somewhat accessible.

Now, in one blow, my immediate nuclear family of my 2 dads is cut in half.

Am praying my step-Dad, also 88, will be around a lot longer. His parents didn’t graduate until after their 95th birthdays, IIRC.

Actually, The Rapture sooner would be quite welcome. Sigh.

This sin-soaked orb is increasingly unattractive and hostile to all who love Jesus.

There must be some ‘Great Exploits’ for Believers to do, yet, however.

Sigh.

I know. HUGS. I have only one parent left, and I cherish him. It’s very hard. But we know they are in a better place. Still, it’s like they moved someplace very far away without phone service. Sometimes I do ask God to give messages. I always hope that’s not too forward of me. I know He’s not an answering service.

INDEED.

I don’t think God is the least bit bothered by such requests.

I do think it’s important to address such requests TO HIM.

I think it’s a little funny.

Daddy must be feeling a little bit like a fish out of water . . . with all his cantankerousness washed away. He’ll have to learn to be the more real and redeemed him. LOL.

LOL yes, and I hope he gets to meet my Mom. I have no idea what people do up there, but they have plenty of time to do it. And whatever it is, it makes them happier than we can imagine. :)

PRAYER REQUEST TO END TIMES LIST:

From Shadowstrike | 12/17/2011 8:46:23 PM PST replied

Could you ping the prayer list for me?

My mother 9who just got back from seeing her sisters for 2 weeks) had a heart attack this afternoon. They did a heart cath this afternoon, and her heart stopped. They brought her back (praise God), she’s in CCU tonight, and even tho everything is looking good, a few extra voices talking to Father would be nice.

If you want to be specific her name is [Shadowstrike’s Mom] L . . .

I appreciate any prayers.

Just saw this. I’m praying for your Mom that she has a complete recovery and there are no lasting problems. Also, that she knows the Lord and rests in his loving arms through all of this. That she and the family have peace and the grace to get through this together. I hope she’s home for Christmas!

THANKS TONS FOR YOUR KIND CARING AND PRAYERS.

I didn’t expect to feel this significantly more alone because I wasn’t that close to him—though I’d often tried to get closer—he was very effectively resistant to any such on anyone’s part. Yet he blamed others for him being so isolated. LOL.

The most critical thing is that he was ready to meet The Lord Jesus and had forgiven everyone else. PRAISE GOD FOR THAT. Eternity will afford lots of time to make things up on such scores.

May God’s best intimacy, provision, safety, Peace, Love, Hope, Joy and guidance be yours this CHRISTmas season and New Year.

Just want to thank you all so much for your prayers. Mom is home, there doesn’t appear to be any damage to her heart muscle, and she’s being as hard headed as ever. Would as you all to pray that Father will give me patience tho :) She’s already complaining about the number of pills she has to take.

God has been so good to my family through this, and knowing that each of you had us in prayer, that you were helping to hold us up...it means more than you can ever know.

You are all in my thoughts and prayers, and I wish you all a very Merry CHRISTmas, and a safe, healthy, and Blessed New Year.
