Yeah, some of the posts further down in his ‘In Forum’ were even more enlightening.

...and that thing in the refrigerator that nobody knows where it came from or what it is!

Some would say it's a fruitcake, but I already ate that. MMMMMmmmmmm!

If it can be used as a blackjack, is it a cake anymore at that point?

Hey tugger, I’ll have to ask my fellow drones in the “military industrial complex” when we’re taking over.
We’ll be sure to stop by your place for all your beer. /sarc

Never tried using fruitcake as a blackjack, I'll have to think about that. Anything that works...

As for Rum Tum Tugger, we sure have a love affair going with Ron Paul.

Some of you who come here to criticize Paul are obviously paid in some way to do so. Nothing anyone says will stop your ignorant posts.

The only thing I'm paid to do is eat fruitcake. Someone has to patronize it and keep it in the public eye (figuratively, not literally)...

The whiff of a first-time Paul zot donation is becoming overpowering. And it can’t be mistaken for fruitcake.

I do not wonder at Ron Paul’s vote to allow homosexuals to serve openly in the military.
Makes me wonder why anyone in a conservative forum would have such a strong crush on the dude though.

Makes me wonder why anyone in a conservative forum would have such a strong crush on the dude though.

It's called 'infiltration'. Just because someone has joined a conservative forum (since 1999 in this case) doesn't mean that person won't change their views or become open to outside influences over time. Things can infiltrate and attack long-held reasonable views until the person become irresolute, then against common understanding.

And I suspect that's what happened here. Take, for instance, this post dated August, 2011:

"I agree completely with Jim Rogers.
The fact is Ron Paul is right about everything.

Not one of the other GOP candidates for the nomination could have written End the Fed. Hell, most of them don't have the brains to even understand it if they were to read it.

All the BS posted here about Ron Paul being a kook is just that "pure BS". Paul scares the hell out of the supporters of the military-industrial complex and of the powerful financial interests who post here.

I'm not throwing my vote away again this time on dumb-a$$es like Dubya, McLame, Romney, Perry, et al who will try to convince us that they're true conservatives when they don't even know the meaning of the word."

To this dated December 27th:

"Prior to this, I would have voted for Newt.

Newt is now dead to me. I would now never vote for Newt.

I thought that one of Newt’s pluses was his intelligence. I was wrong. Newt is an idiot."

Obviously, the second one is a deception, trying to deflect the real truth (self-preservation here on FR). And judging by intervening posts, I'd say there's been a gradual change of thought, or influences (one can find them if one looks) that have eroded his firm sense of conservative values (without going further back it's an assumption on my part they were there to begin with).

In any case, we have a died-in-the-wool Paulbot here...

As best I can determine, we seven are the folks on this thread who have agreed to pledge $1 to the FReepathon for each paulBOT ZOT.

Also, from reading upthread, it looks like there's a general concensus to keep track of the paulBOT ZOTs and make the accumulated donation at the end of the month. That sounds like the best idea.

Amazingly, we've only had ONE paulBOT ZOT since the introduction of this pledge. You can find the zot here: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/2828375/posts?page=26#26 (Wave bye bye to to RayTheSpook)

It looks like the RP spam monkeys may be slowing down a little bit after their hero didn't win Iowa as they believed he would. But, even if we had no more bot zots for the rest of the month (which I highly doubt), this is still $7 going to the FReepathon.

Until someone else takes this on as a ping list, I can check back in to this thread periodically and update the accumulated zots and $$.

Addition to previous post. We had another paulBOT ZOT that I almost missed!

Wave bye bye to keyd here: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/bloggers/2828201/posts?page=24#24

That brings our collective January pledge total to $14 so far.

I was aware of RayTheSpook but not Keyd. Thanks for the link.

It’ll be interesting to see what develops during the month.

Great!! I will add the total $1 per zot, based of number of zots per month, at end of each month.

Sounds okay by me! If there’s a veritable flood of zots I’ll have a bit o difficulty but OTOH a lot of Ronulans getting the zot is a good thing even if the price is high!

Thanks for the heads up, madmaximus. That one didn't make it to my ping list either.

Wave bye bye to WilliamHouston!

That brings our January combined total to $21 so far for the PaulBotZot pledge, or $3 per each of us.

I counted Paulbot zots from last Monday, 12:01 am through right now, and I have four. Names were keyd, E.K. Crossbow,
dubie, and WilliamHouston. I’ll send $5.

Lonevoice, I didn’t know you were going to keep up with this and notify us - went back to that thread after you notified me. I’ll depend on you from now on to keep me updated. I hate Paulbots - sick, demented people.

Onyx: Got power back on after an hour. Went to MSNBC on net and watched the whole thing - also saw Matthews do his thing. I really missed not being able to read our live thread while it was on.

Thank you very much, Marcella! I hadn't counted E.K. Crossbow, who rode the Paulbot Zot lightning right here on this very thread just before we started the Paulbot Zot FReepathon pledge. I agree it is very appropriate that he be counted as our first, so I'm adding him to the list.

Wave bye bye to E.K. Crossbow here: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/2827775/posts?page=18#18

Thank you also, Marcella, for the heads up about dubie! That one was missing from my ping page, so I've now requested to be added to an additional ping list for zots so as to not inadvertently miss any of this crispy goodness.

Wave bye bye to dubie here: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/2828167/posts?page=88#88

That brings our Paulbot Zot list to a total of 5 as of today. Thanks to them, at $1 per zot from each of us, we are at an accrued total of $5 each, and a combined total of $35 to the FReepathon for the month of January...so far. But, it's early. :-)
