AND NOW . . . amidst billowing clouds of fragrant, aromatic first- and second-hand premium cigar smoke. . . it is time for . . . that harmless, lovable little fuzz ball, the highly-trained broadcast specialist, having more fun than a human being should be allowed to have, from behind the golden EIB microphone, firmly ensconced in the prestigious Attila-the-Hun chair at the Limbaugh Institute of Advanced Conservative Studies, serving humanity simply by showing up, and he’s not retiring until every American agrees with him, do NOT doubt him, with shrieks of joy at the mere mention of his name (that’s Rush, for those in Rio Linda),the Mandarin of Talk Radio, with talent on loan from G-d, at the cutting-edge of societal evolution, with half his brain tied behind his back — just to make it fair, the all-knowing, all-caring, all-sensing, all-feeling, all-concerned Maha-Rushie! America’s anchorman, truth detector, and doctor of democracy. A Real Man, a living legend, a way of life. Commander in Chief of U.S. Operation Chaos. Chief Waga-Waga El Rushbo of the El Conservo Tribe. Chief of the Patriotism Police. Leader of the Conservative Movement. A Weapon of Mass Instruction. El Rushbo (a little Spanish lingo, there). He is the man who is running America (you know it and I know it). He knows the Democrats like every square inch of his glorious naked body. He is ready to do what he was born to do—that’s host. Get ready to what you were born to do—that’s listen (and post your comments on the Rush Limbaugh LIVE Radio Thread).

He knows just like McCain that Mittens is a pale reflection of Obama. Mitt will keep Obamacare, nominate Liberal judges, and increase Gov’t scope and size. The GOP elite have gotten the best of Conservatives and Tea Partiers so far.....We NEED TO STOP ROMNEY!

I’m just shocked that Rush is so upset over this Newt/Romney thing. Maybe he doesn’t think Romney would be so bad. But, come on, Romney has a huge attack machine that’s been working overtime. He’s moderate to liberal and yet Newt is taking heat from him for this piddly maneuver. Is it just me?

I have no problem with what Mittens did at Bain Capital but to compare it with what 0bama to GM and Chrysler is idiotic.

I agreed with your today’s comments yesterday. Today I do not.....I listened to Tom Marr this mornin and then googled to secure facts about Bain......

Romney et al were no more corporate raiders than I’m an Asian Aviator.

What, in fact Bain did to Staples, Dominoes and the too long mentioned Newt assertion added 10’s of thousands of jobs.

In fact, Bain was a model of needed corporate capitalism

I think you are listening to what you think you want to hear and not what he is saying, or you are listening to what you think others are saying about it

Well said. Hope Rush is reading your posts ;)

Thank you, Jane -- but I won't be holding my breath!

And Heart, Rush will say that he's "clarifying" what he said yesterday about Newt, but you can bet hard, cold cash that in reality, he will merely be very defensive and even a little bit whiny. I love my Rush, I know my Rush, and I think he deserves a smack upside the head for yesterday's Kick-Newt-and-give-aid-and-comfort-to-Romney show. Reagan would have been more disgusted with Rush than he would have been with Newt, I think.

We shall see about that. I'm not willing to throw in the towel yet.

I’m hoping that Rush today is trying to make up for his mistake of yesterday...... He knows that Mitt (if he won) would be a disaster.

Here’s to wishing that Rush will take another look at Newt and recalculate his opinion accordingly.

Let’s hope. He just seems too upset over it. He should move on.

Silver lining...rocks are being overturned, and previously closeted RINO’s and socialists have been exposed to the light...

It isn’t just you. Rush comes off as a closet Romney supporter to me. He also seems to really despise Newt for some reason. If he has a favorite candidate, I wish he would just say it.

I wonder if Rush's blistering of Newt has more to do with the fact that by going after Romney and his roles at Bain has not only tarnished Romney but also Bain?

Remember, it's Bain that in large part owns Clear Channel that in turn owns Premiere Radio Networks that in turn syndicates Rush's program. Also Rush's program is cleared on many, many Clear Channel owned stations and they may in fact be the largest group that clears Rush's show*. This may be as much about Newt causing collateral damage/black eye to Bain because he went so hard after Romney. There may have been some behind the curtain pressure. *On July 30, 2008, the Clear Channel announced the completion of a merger with an indirect wholly owned subsidiary of CC Media Holdings, Inc., a corporation formed by a private equity group co-led by Bain Capital Partners, LLC and Thomas H. Lee Partners, L.P.
