The Fluke Charade: A Middle-Age Child's Nutty Demand
IBD Editorials ^ | March 9, 2012 | MARK STEYN

Posted on 03/09/2012 4:32:14 PM PST by Kaslin

I'm writing this from Australia, so, if I'm not quite up to speed on recent events in the United States, bear with me — the telegraph updates are a bit slow here in the bush. As I understand it, Sandra Fluke is a young coed who attends Georgetown Law, and recently testified before Congress.

Oh, wait, no. Update: It wasn't a Congressional hearing; the Democrats just got it up to look like one, like summer stock, with Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid doing the show right here in the barn, and providing a cardboard set for the world premiere of Miss Fluke Goes To Washington, with full supporting cast led by Chuck Schumer strolling in through the French windows in tennis whites and drawling, "Anyone for bull****?"

Oh, and the "young coed" turns out to be 30, which is what less-evolved cultures refer to as early middle age. She's a couple of years younger than Mozart was at the time he croaked, but, if the Dems are to be believed, the plucky little Grade 24 schoolgirl has already made an even greater contribution to humanity. She's had the courage to stand up in public and demand that someone else (and this is where one is obliged to tiptoe cautiously, lest offense is given to gallant defenders of the good name of American maidenhood such as the many prestigious soon-to-be-former sponsors of this column who've booked Bill Maher for their corporate retreat with his amusing "Sarah Palin is a c***" routine ...

Where was I? Oh, yes. The brave middle-aged schoolgirl had the courage to stand up in public and demand that someone else pay for her sex life.

Well, as noted above, she's attending Georgetown, a nominally Catholic seat of learning, so how expensive can that be?

Regardless of life's changes, once a slut always a slut.

Sounds like the Australian has gotten the story right.

Too bad American Journalists and female politicians can’t.

Have your partners pick up the tab. One can pick up January. One can pick up February. etc etc

One nighters will simply have to drop coins in the jar by the bed.

So 40% of Georgetown coeds paying $60K/yr are having a hard time paying $9/mo for BC pills? Perhaps they should teach some personal finance classes there?

Pray for America

These Democratic Party psychopaths are determined to crush the Catholic Church, by mandating contraception, then abortion, then postnatal murder, then voluntary euthanasia and then involuntary euthanasia.

The Democrats urinate on the Constitution, particularly the Bill of Rights.

Her Flukeness possibly intended a very subtle hint while not actually saying she was asking for backing for alley cats’ sex lives, only for a few special cases of using the Pill for some other purpose. But America read between the lines and said “SLUT!”

They suckered a lot of prominent Catholic bishops into endorsing Obamacare, the bill that had to be passed to find out what was in it, with a fair weather promise that oh, their conscience rights would never be trampled upon. Now the Catholic church wakes up to find it got in bed with a snake and it’s busy biting. Oy vey what to do?

Not just the Catholic Church but all religion in America. You can’t worship Obama’s Socialist Administration if you have faith in our Savior.

Fluke and her ilk can state Marxist ideology in their own words and that makes them intellectuals and qualified for high-level government positions.

They are still spoiled brats. In most cases.

Take Dr. Thomas Sowell's description of how intelligence is often recognized early, the child is treated special, given breaks, great education, inside track to great opportunities -- the works. Spoiled brats. (My words)

Take former Secret Service agent Dan Emmett's book “Within Arms’s Length.” He writes of during the course of his duties to protect the Clintons and staff "patient attempts to reason were met with childlike emotion born of a past where no one in authority--probably beginning with her parents--had ever said no to [the staffer] about anything.”

Pretty intelligent, recognized early, good schools, the left ideology, spoiled brat.

See: Secret Service agent: Clinton’s staff rude, Hillary aloof

And how about the book "Unlimited Access : An FBI Agent Inside the Clinton White House" by Gary Aldrich. I will always remember how potential Clinton staffers responded to loyalty clearance questions: "I am totally loyal to the Clintons!" The spoiled brats just don't get it.

under which the "right to privacy" the Supreme Court claimed to have discovered in Griswold vs. Connecticut and Roe vs. Wade will now lead to thousands and thousands of self-insuring employers keeping computer records of the morning-after pills and herpes medication racked up by Miss Jones on reception.

Hmmm...I wonder if the Flukes of this world thought about that. Of course, they probably never actually plan to work anyway, or certainly not outside of academia. Plus they'd probably think herpes was sure proof that they were getting it on with random strangers and hence super-cool.

You have a treat in store for you, if you’re not familiar with Mark Steyn. Over the last 4-5 years, we’ve been privy to some of the best commentary and most entertaining writing on current events. The man can turn a phrase. Steynonline.com I believe it is.

Why not?

In the US we already give tax breaks for “geneder reassignment” surgery.
