Blackhawks Circle Low Through Chicago Skies as Secret Service Releases Security Details

Blackhawks and A/MH-6 Little Bird helicopters used by special forces circling low through downtown Chicago skies made for a scary scene along the Chicago River, as they rattled windows flying among the city's skyscrapers.

The training exercise comes as the city found out some of the details of what the Secret Service wants for security at next month's summit at McCormick Place.

There is a government site that displays all Temporary Flight Restrictions (TFRs) by location and date. That is a good way to see why your locale is suddenly experiencing a heavy increase in government aircraft and vehicles. TFRs are warnings to civil pilots to stay away from locations where top government officials will be visiting. It is worth noting that TFRs have doubled or tripled since Obama has occupied the White House.

WASHINGTON — The Secret Service has an extensive shopping list to fortify the Chicago NATO summit, from barriers to withstand a vehicle going 50 mph to 8-foot-high fences that can’t be climbed.

The specifics are contained in a bid request from the Secret Service, a document called “sensitive but unclassified.” The proposals for equipment rental and project management are due April 24 for the May 20-21 summit.

The people who ride trains that pass under McCormick Place will really enjoy it when they find out the trains will be halted. And the people who will be using O’Hare will really enjoy it when they find out that they will be delayed by the fleets of aircraft of the attendees.

But look for the slimy Rat bottom feeders who run Chicago, Illinois and the nation in front of the cameras at every opportunity to get face time with their brain-dead voters.

I will be totally out of my element. Here in Mississippi I have a permit to carry to go to areas like that. But I am going up on Amtrak, so no handguns I guess, and I don’t want to get caught in Chicago with a handgun which of course is legally mine. I can’t go anywhere that the 5-O isn’t close by.

If they were serious about security in and around McCormick they would round up all the cab drivers and stick them in holding cells until the event was over. I’ve never seen a more scary crowd outside of the West Bank in Israel.

The Pirates had a home game one afternoon during the G8 summit in Pittsburgh. About 300 fans showed up. Literally you could not get there from here. They all got complimentary upgrades to the good seats.
