Support Myth Obamney? I SAY "HELL NO!" (VANITY)

"We don't intend to turn the Republican Party over to the traitors in the battle just ended. We will have no more of those candidates who are pledged to the same goals as our opposition and who seek our support. Turning the Party over to the so-called moderates wouldn’t make any sense at all." -- President Ronald Reagan

There has been a lot of discussion on this forum on whether or not a "conservative" can or should support Mitt Romney in the general election.

I am 60 years old, and for all of my adult life, since I joined the U.S. Navy at age 17, I have fought the EVIL ideology that is socialism/marxism/communism/statism, call it what you will. And it IS EVIL. It destroys the human spirit. It reduces every individual to a state of hopeless dependence on an all powerful state, run for the benefit of a few favored, powerful, connected people.

We all KNOW that B. HUSSEIN O. is a communist, and truth be told, an islamist supporter. So, he MUST be defeated and destroyed, along with his ideology.

However, myth obamney is also a "progressive" (read COMMUNIST), BY HIS OWN WORDS.

His actual record is indistinguishable from B. HUSSEIN O.

"If we must have an enemy at the head of Government, let it be one whom we can oppose, and for whom we are not responsible, who will not involve our party in the disgrace of his foolish and bad measures." - Alexander Hamilton

Therefore, I will NOT vote for a socialist/marxist/communist/statist, REGARDLESS of party label. I WILL NOT VOTE FOR myth obamney in November. I will vote for the Constitution Party candidate, Virgil Goode, or I will write in my DOG over EITHER major party candidate, because they are EXACTLY the same.

Before you start to flame me, ask yourself this: IF myth somehow is elected, do you REALLY expect him to roll back ANYTHING that B. HUSSEIN O. forced on us? ObamaCare??? That is RomneyCare. EPA rules and regulations? Labor relations rules and regulations that empower unions? Energy policy? IS THERE ANYTHING that the rooster-sucking, goat-humping statist socialist/communist Myth Obamney will eliminate? I would suggest that his whole f**king record says not only "no" but "HELL NO!" There is NOTHING he would change.

So, for all the myth obamney lurkers, go back to your f**king candidate and tell him I said he can take his "God in waiting" cult beliefs, his f**king "magic underwear" and his f**king communism and GO STRAIGHT TO HELL!

“Where liberty dwells, there is my country." –Benjamin Franklin

I respect you, panaxanex, and your reasoning is sound.
I think it goes without saying that 99% of us have America’s best interests at heart.

Civil discourse on this site is foreign to some but obviously not to you. Thank you.

Hi Johnny,

Just a little tidbit to share: caught the end of Levin’s first hour last night as he questionned once again the actions of the Romney campaign, dubbing them “odd” and saying that unless they get their act together, there is a good chance that this election will not go their way..paraphrased but you get the gist.

"The only core principles Mitt has, are those that concern Mitt....He would have sold out to the right, if the political conditions had been reversed."

But now, you're saying that political circumstances "will not have the slightest effect" on him, because he's committed to other beliefs. So is he just a political opportunist who will support the right as easily as the left if it advantagees him, or is he a committed lefty?

Reading Romney isn't all that complicated. To a large degree, he's a political opportunist, AND a left-liberal. The two aren't mutually exclusive, you know. Underneath even that, Romney is a self-centered egomaniac - not unlike Obama or any other malignant narcissist.

The man is simply soulless. He has no real core beliefs to guide him. In his universe, he's the only one who truly exists, and every other person is simply a toy or a tool to manipulate in his personal game.

This also explains why he's a weather vane. He doesn't need to (and can't) stick to one firm conviction on any issue, because none of that really matters to him anyway. Telling you what you want to hear at any particular time is part of his manipulative standard operating procedure. He doesn't believe any of it. It's only important to him, that you believe he believes it.

For what it's worth, I suppose the only reason Romney calls himself a Republican, is because his famous father was one. Gotta lift up the family brand, ya know. Other than that, he's got nothing in common with conservatives, or even most Republicans. Don't forget, that his father, George Romney, famously undermined Barry Goldwater in 1964. Romney the elder hated conservatives, and so does his ill begotten son.

The choice is going to be Obama or Romney and they are worlds apart.

For a precision shootist, you sure missed the mark by a mile on that one.

Obama and Romney aren't "worlds apart". Their records are near-identical. To state otherwise, is just irresponsible blather, or uninformed opinion.

"The time to fight back is now"

And you are fighting back by voting for Virgil Goode, Mickey Mouse, Luke Skywalker? Heck just vote for Thomas Jefferson, he has just as good a chance.

Oh man. Looks like you missed the mark twice in your last post.

Voting for someone other than Socialist A, or Socialist B isn't how we fight back. That's simply registering a protest. No - we fight back by actually fighting back. We resist, in any and every way we can. Resistance can, and will take many forms.

Bottom line is, we must begin honestly pushing back in real and measurable ways. Personally, I'd like to see the Tea Party step it up a couple of notches, and begin organizing something other than peaceful rallies. People can resist in all sorts of ways, but they're going to have to find their spines to do so. Resistance won't come without some risk. That said, we risk a lot more by not resisting.

I agree we need to push back in MEASURABLE ways. Voting for someone that is going to get no more than three percent of the popular vote and has no chance of winning even one state is measurable but the measurement is ZERO.

If we support Romney we could possibly take the senate by the coat tails. With the House and Senate controlled by Republicans they will be able to put great pressure to push Romney to the right on every major issue. We could actually repeal Obamacare and even get several more right leaning SCOTUS appointments.

If Obama wins, even if we take the Senate and retain the house things will be a lot worse for us. You will be sick when Obama veto's the repeal of Obamacare and you realize Romney would have signed it. Obama will get LEFT leaning if not outright socialist hacks on the court.

There is simply no comparison between the two possible outcomes.

As far as the Tea Party stepping up a notch past peaceful I don't think that's a good idea at this time. We are not there yet. We still have several peaceful ways of regaining our liberty. A Constitutional Convention is another tool provided by our founding documents. I do think we agree that we are running out of time and running out of nice ways to regain our liberty.

I haven’t read through all the responses yet to see if I am repeating anyone else, but, the 0ne is not subtle, and Mitt is not conservative. Other than that, I might agree with you.

“I’m writing in Sarah Palin.

She carried the torch while “republican” men cowered.”

I am with you one hundred percent. Only I would move the quotation marks in your last sentence. Like this:

She carried the torch while republican “men” cowered.

Friend, you really need to brush up on Romney's record in office. Not only is he the grandfather of Obamacare, his appointments to the bench while Governor, were almost ALL left-liberals.

To think that he'll suddenly turn over a new leaf and govern as a conservative, if elected, is wishful thinking in the extreme.

I'm going to let all that rest now, because the boss has asked us to observe a truce of sorts on this argument. On the deep issues, I know that we're in agreement, and that's what I'm going to do my best to concentrate on.

As far as the Tea Party stepping up a notch past peaceful I don't think that's a good idea at this time. We are not there yet.

I've said elsewhere that the ballot box is FUBAR, and that the soap box is busted. A lot of folks wonder whether the only box left is the cartridge box, but I think there's one more we can try before we go to the box of last resort, and that is the tool box.

What I mean by the 'tool box', is civil resistance. There are all sorts of methods of resistance that we patriots can employ that fall short of outright rebellion, but which have the potential to make Congress and the Executive branch step back from the precipice.

Folks need to get a little creative, and use their imaginations, but civil disobedience isn't a new political tactic. It's been successfully employed many times in this country and elsewhere to effect political change.

Recall the student 'sit-ins' of the sixties? Those kids made the authorities arrest them for violating simple ordinances, but their protests gained tremendous press, and caused the establishment to step back. I'm suggesting that we take a look in our 'tool box' and see what sorts of things we might be able to do that would garner similar attention.

I guarantee you, that if 1,000 people painted the word, 'taxpayer' on their shirts, duct taped their mouths, then sat down in the middle of Times Square, it would make news around the world, and put Congress and the administration on notice that we mean business.

Think on it. I truly believe that it's the next ratchet up from where we are.

A small group of tax protesters gathered in times square..

Or..

remember, Beck had what a million in DC? it was reported but quickly swept under the rug.

Beck had a million peaceful people gathered to hear speeches. They didn't even leave a scrap of litter to pick up, and their presence left no mark of any kind.

It doesn't take millions of people to get the attention of the media and Washington. Just a handful who are willing and courageous enough to resist. Such has it ever been.

the Democrat party is the home for liberals and the GOP is the home for Conservatives. The great majority of conservatives who vote in primaries vote GOP.

Well the Ruling Class GOP-e does not want us unless we suck up to their version of Obama and Statism. I say the GOP left us a long time ago and it's time to find a new way and place to make an impact.

We have a two party system. Which one conservatives should choose to make more conservative is obvious. Was to Reagan, should be to us.

Not any more. Times have changed as the GOP has been hauled further and further Left until it is little to no different than the Democrats. Case-in-point their Nominee shoved down our throats by the leadership who hate Conservatives more than they do Obama.

No sir, I no longer am part of that paradigm. Time to change it.

Nope. There are only two doors. Behind one is Obama. The other, Romney. One of these two men will be our next President. There is no door number 3.

Votes are votes. Them with the votes determine the rules and who rules. I say the GOP left us a long time ago

So who was your candidate and why didn't they win?

Case-in-point their Nominee shoved down our throats

Sour grapes. Romney could have been beat by a strong opponent and a unified opposition. Didn't happen.
