Facebook co-founder Eduardo Saverin, under fire over the tax consequences of renouncing his U.S. citizenship, said on Thursday he is obligated to and will pay 'hundreds of millions of dollars in taxes to the United States government.' The social media entrepreneur and investor said in a statement, emailed to Reuters by a spokesman, that his decision to move to Singapore was 'based solely on my interest in working and living' there.

Saverin’s family has no allegiance to this country.Besides,we’ll get the money from Zukerberg;who
screwed Saverin out of a larger share of the company!

Problem with supporting “Atlas Shrugging” is, the end result for America of doing so, would be indistinguishable from the end result for America, of the communists Cloward-Piven strategy.

Something to think about.

“Don’t let the door hit you you POS”

Saverin has the unalienable right to do what he wants with his own money. The coveting of his wealth by tax-grubbers is palatable and sickeningly immoral.

It is clear that people who call Saverin a “POS” are mad that they can’t hold Saverin captive in their tax system so they can continue to expropriate his wealth. They must be on welfare or need more money from Obama’s Stash to fund their EBT Cards.

We will also hear complaints about Saverin not “giving back” or that somehow this country was “responsible” for his wealth. The government was certainly NOT the responsible party here! And all their demands on his wealth have the effect of enabling big and bigger government. There is never any gratitude for the thousands of jobs that Saverin created.

What pitiful Useful Idiots!

"Well done, Mr. Saverin. Here’s hoping thousands more like you do exactly the same thing. Atlas, shrug on."

We all should seek to Shrug More...! I have moved from a payroll job to an alternate form of income thus denying the Feds and the State Payroll and FICA taxes.

KUDOS to Saverin for denying the Moochers future Mucho Dinero...!

Starve the Beast!

Don’t know if you saw this, but Chucky Schumer wants to double the Capital Gains Tax on people who renounce, plus bar them from ever setting foot in the US again.

And somehow I suspect those will be the ONLY people we manage to keep out of the US.

Then it is up to the government to set policies such that citizens won’t want to shrug.

Yes, exactly we should give even more money to Uncle Sam because it is working so well right now. [/sarc]

Your problem is that you want to keep the status quo and protect a system that is spiraling down at an ever increasing rate.

Sorry Bud but its over. The jobs Unions and Government over-regulation and punitive taxes caused to leave our shores aren't coming back. Our only hope is to dismantle the system in place (Big Gub'ment) so NEW jobs can be created here in the Future!

It took years to get here and it will take years to fix it and anyone wishing to add more Gub'ment regs (Like punishing those fleeing our shores) are just making things worse.

Read Atlas Shrugged its all there in black and white!

This is what I find reprehensible. Talk about a POS!

I read Rand’s book cover to cover, long ago.

I just point out to those who view the lessons therein as near Biblical in weight, that the book is fiction.

Fiction.

Perhaps more importantly, Ayn Rand had no way to foresee her “Galt’s Gulch” would in fact be history’s largest communist state.

I’m pretty sure, that’s not what she had in mind.

I don’t blame this guy. I have felt the same way for the last three years. Good for him!

Isn't he a foreigner in any case? I thought he was an immigrant from Brazil. His parents brought him here for enhanced economic opportunity. Now he's leaving for enhanced economic opportunity. People like this are foreign opportunists. They never do have any real love for this country. Let him go.

We protected that worm when his life was threatened in Brazil. If he has no loyalty to us in his fat times, then he deserves every demand we can enforce on him to get our dime back.

If you ex-patriate yourself from the USA then you are POS whether you are multi-millionaire or penniless. The Japanese overran Singapore in WWII, hopefully the Chinese will remain placid. If not screw all the ex-pats.

Yes.

The People Republic, where all our factories were sent by “Americans going Galt” is history’s largest communist nation.

Ironically the Chinese communist state is effectively also, history’s largest labor union.

hahahaha you think the Jobs are the issue. That is your problem. Corps could give a Rat F^^K about WHERE things are made. They concentrate on how efficient they can be made. China understands this You moochers don't.

Galt's Gulch isn't in China. Galt's Gulch is ANYWHERE BUT THE USA.

You refuse to understand the basic premise. Money like water flows to the least resistance. You moochers are resistance to the tenth power!
