In an aggressive effort to boost deportations, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement has begun to increase by nearly 25 percent the number of agents assigned to find and deport illegal immigrants with criminal records, pulling 150 officers from desks and backroom jobs to add extra fugitive search teams around the country.
The plan was launched when the number of deportations slumped after several years of growth, partly because of the drop in illegal immigration along the Southwest border. But critics, including some inside ICE, denounced the effort as politically inspired to help President Barack Obama's re-election campaign.
The move, which began without public notice May 14, calls for increasing the number of fugitive operations teams to 129 from 104. Each team has been given a goal of arresting 50 suspects per month, according to documents obtained by the Los Angeles Times/Tribune Washington Bureau, although ICE officials said Friday that no quotas were set for the teams.

Deportation is not a problem is amendment to Your Constitution that child born from foreigner who is not in legal in your country will not have citizenship simple.

Parents of a baby born in the USA will not be deported. Immigration police will only deport illegals who commit serious crimes.
Most of us are not against immigrants who come for family reasons (foreigners married to Americans and the like), although some big corporate business interests do oppose family immigration while favoring illegal singles (unmarried) hired to do cheap labor and subservience.

They could make that 50 a month here in So. Cal. just by cruising by the homes of those who were deported two months ago. The famalies rarely relocate, just wait for the breadwinner to scamper back across the border. The barrio telegraph is well organized, and very efficient, so it wouldn’t work more than six months before the word on how they were being found got out, but it’s a start.

More yada, yada, yada. Aiming to do something and actually doing it are two different things. I bet they couldn’t find any illegals on Cinco de Mayo so what makes us think they’ll bother pulling their thumbs out of their noses any other day of the year. If one does stumble into their custody, they just frown and send then on their merry way.
Total election year lies and spin. Obama wants as large as possible 3rd world invasion of America so they can turn America into a permanently voting Democrat nation. All the illegals have to do is hatch children here who will someday be old enough to vote.

Okay, since they can't stand at the border and catch them as they come across they are now going to go out and pretend to catch criminals. In my opinion, they are ALL criminals and catching them should be easy - if they really wanted to.
Just ending welfare benefits for illegals would end a lot of the problem in itself.
