Glenn Beck once said that leaving Fox News Channel, as he did in 2011, would earn him $40 million by allowing him to concentrate on his own web-based subscriber operation, GBTV.
Now The New York Times reports he has signed a $100 million contract for his radio shows to appear on Clear Channel Communications stations across the country.
The move puts the pressure on Rush Limbaugh, whose advertisers abandoned him earlier this year after he called a college student a "slut" because she supported contraception coverage in healthcare plans. The Times said:
Now carried by more than 400 stations, the show typically ranks No. 3 among all news-talk radio shows, behind Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity, so the contract extension brings a measure of stability to local stations that carry it.
Limbaugh's contract is worth $200 million per year. Beck's is worth $100 million over five years.

Somehow, I think Beck will get by. Maybe his wife can clip coupons.
Getting booted from Fox hasn't hurt him much. I seem to remember he made more from his other enterprises than he did from Fox anyway.
As for me, I haven't watched anything on Fox since he left... I did watch the interview with Issa the other day, but thats pretty much it for the last year or so. Actually, aside from Beck, I hadn't watched Fox much in a long time. Now its almost never.
I like Beck. He's the only one who went after Obama's connections and really put the research out there on TV. I know, there are bloggers who have done more, but in the major media Beck was the only one who dared. And they went after him hammer and tong til he was gone.
Beck lives in the Dallas area not Utah.

I swear there must be 2 Glenn Becks. His TV program was a wealth of information with substantiation every night. I learned more about the founding of this country then I ever did in public schools and YES I did take his nightly challenge to verify what he said and found out he was correct.
I learned of all the SELF AVOWED Marxist, communists, Maoists, socialists in the current administration. This is stuff the MSM refused to touch and once Glenn left FOX they seem to ignore it.
Now, the radio program, IMO, is moronic. Stupid jokes, excessive laughing and about as much substance as an air sandwich.
It cannot be the same person doing both shows.
How enlighten of you, my goodness. The battery of multiple wives, and the forced married of girls over molestation by men who claim to be priests.
Personally, neither one of those scenarios is acceptable.
Battery is battery, molestation is molestation, rape is rape, abuse is abuse - no matter who and under what circumstances perpetrates these acts should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law, then shot.

...that is absolute BullSh*&!! Several advertisers collapsed under lib pressure then came screaming and begging to be put back on. Rush has literally thousands of advertisers.

glenn was the only out spoken voice out there for A LONG time. he stuck his neck out repeatedly. he got me off my couch to trave 2000 miles in a couple of days. although i disagree with him on some issues, i think he deserves some credit for the tea party movement.
i for one will not throw him under the bus.
