Anyone afraid of putting a Romney sticker on their car? (Vanity)
Me | 06/27/12 | Me

Posted on 06/27/2012 6:09:05 AM PDT by tellw

I live in congressional district in metro DC area that went heavily for Obama in 2008. I just got my first Mitt Romney for President 2012 bumper sticker. I am a die hard Republican and I have put GOP bumper stickers on my car in the past. However this year I am seriously hesitating putting the Romney one on even though I very much want him to win. Reason: I fear physical assault to my person or vehicle. Furthermore I know it is early in the election cycle but I haven't seen any Romney stickers on any cars either. Anyone else having this fear?

In the ordinary course of events the vice president choice does not make much difference. Altho unfair, the Quale choice may have been a minus.

Sarah Palin created a lot of interest but she didn’t pull the old dude over the finish line.

The only possible difference it might make with Romney is that if he chooses some conservative idol ... and I have no idea who that could be because a lot of people here don’t like anybody but God (and God only if he’s on their side) ... it might give the Romney haters an excuse or justification for voting for him.

As in, I’m only voting for Romney in the hope that he dies and then ... insert name ... would be president.

Personally, I’m voting for Romney unless he chooses Eric Holder as veep.

Afraid? No. However, refuse to? Absolutely! I may have no choice but to vote for him, but support and vote are two very different things.

No, I'm just going to put my last “Antiobamunist On Board” sticker on the window and let them figure it out.

I live in CA, so Obama has already won here. I just like to stick it to the idiots.

I just saw a good one this morning on way in, “DEFEAT OBAMA.” I still say mine is better- “DEFEND AMERICA-DEPORT OBAMA.” Hence, the ‘R’ goes without saying, just saying.

I’ve got two bumper stickers on my truck. WORST PRESIDENT EVER and my tag line, OBAMA: Why stupid people shouldn’t vote.

The truck is an 08 F250, 6” lift with 37” tires. Bumper height is about 34” and I make it a point to get in front of any car with a Pro-Obama sticker on it. I live in Maryland and driving in DC I get looks but no one ever says anything except a few that I get the thumbs up signal from.

Stopped at a Bass Pro Shop in Ashland, VA and folks were taking pictures of my bumper stickers.

I also have the NRA & Harley sticker as well.

Our histories are similar, except I voted for Humphrey in 1968. The single time I voted Republican for President AND felt good about it was in 1984, and then sorta good in 2008. So, I have been un-thrilled with Republican party Presidential candidates for most of my voting life but I've gone along with the flow...until now.

As for this part of your post: ...and everybody else has run like a Phil Niekro knuckleball, floating around all over the place....I disagree. Niekro was very effective with his Ali approach (float like a butterfly, sting like a bee.) but the other Republican Presidential candidates have been ineffective and so very unworthy of our heartfelt support, IMHO.

Off subject but I saw on Fox this morning that Stockton has declared bankruptcy.

Did you know that retired firefighters there receive a pension of over 150 thou a year?

Declaring bankruptcy might give them the power to modify that. I say cut it in half at least.

I used to have a beater truck on which I’d gladly put the most demeaning Obama stickers. However, all my vehicles are relatively new and I don’t want to go throught the insurance hassle with them for damage by an Obama [fill in the blank here - my name for them would be stricken]

I would add, though, that all my vehicles pack plenty, plenty of firepower now for those odd instances when the populace may throw a Burger King Hissy Fit in the streets - nope, no Reginald Denny for me.

From what I have read, declaring “Chapter 9” Bankruptcy is allowing them to halt Bill Payments and reduce Pensions and Salaries. This will just be another excuse the Politicians (Politburo) will use to gut Prop. 13.

Maybe Moonbeam Brown can steal money from the Bullet Train to Nowhere and give it to them. LOL

Like our Parents would always say, you can’t get blood out of a Turnip.

You see them at the local church pantries, the county health clinics, the county food stamp locations, the county unemployment locations and at Walmart at midnight at the end of the month when their EBT cards get recharged.

I have NEVER seen an EBT at Walmart between 7 and 10AM at Walmart when I’ve started going - they just won’t wake up before 11 or 12 AM....

Yes, I would. We won’t win being nice. Piss them off, embarass them, demean them, discount them. Marginalize them and move on without them.

B) bumper stickers don’t influence anyone.

I disagree. If I see somebody with an Obama 2012 bumper sticker, I immediately know their judgement or intelligence is severely compromised, and I alter my driving accordingly. :-)

Ive only seen one Romney bumper sticker in my area...

I've only seen one, and I live in Salt Lake City. But I guess that's similar to the good people of Rome putting "I support the Pope" bumper stickers on their cars. Not needed, since it's kind of a given...

That can all be done within the confines of the law. We cannot sink to their level of depravity simply for victory’s sake. That is what they want, to bring us down to their level of so they can deprive us of the moral high ground.

Simply pointing out what THEY do, slash tires, break windows, deface property and in general being a criminal nuisance, shows that they have no intellectual argument other than ‘do as we say or else!’..................

I’m done ‘accepting.’ I’m done appeasing and tippy-toeing. That got us Bush and the DHS and TSA, it got us McCain and ultimately Obama who could care less about what we think.

You listen to the black stations, you listen/read politico, Salon, Huffington et al. They don’t give a damn what you think or how you vote - they’re working the alternative of getting victim groups energized by lying and brainwashing, they’re working on illegal votes, and you tell me “ we can’t sink to their level?” Hell no.

My husband and I always tape bumper stickers to our back car windows, then remove them "as necessary". I drive an old Toyota station wagon (without tinted windows), so my back window serves as a big anti-Obama billboard at times, lol.

You may want to look into magnetic bumper stickers as well, so you can remove them easily. However anyone can come along and take them off your car while it's parked in a public place...

I don't like permanent bumper stickers on our cars, regardless of the message.

You fight lies with truth.
You fight distortions with clarity.
You fight idiocy with logic.
You fight insanity with reason.
You must never let your emotions cloud you ability to think clearly, because at that point you have lost the war.
It doesn’t matter what THEY say on radio or TV or on the internet. People will eventually see them for the frauds and charlatans that they are. Snake oil salesmen with a smiley face and Gucci shoes. That is why Obozo is plummeting like a stone. The people he managed to fool in ‘08 are now awake and the reality of what they have done has set in. Truth will out, no matter what.

Save your vengeance for a worthwhile cause like helping to destroy liberalism with the silver bullet of truth instead of useless acts of vandalism and self-righteous acts of juvenile behavior. We are better than that..........
