You Never Ran a Lemonade Stand!
VANITY | 7.17.12 | JT Hatter

You never know what's going to come out of Obama's mouth. One thing we know is that the more excited he gets the more ridiculous he sounds. I can't wait for the presidential debates.

Last week during a campaign stop in Roanoke Virginia, President Obama was regaling the crowd with his vision of America. Only a Marxist could see America the way he does. Did he really say, “If you’ve got a business, you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen.”

Yes he did. He really did. Incredible as it sounds, he actually did say that. What’s worse, the rest of the speech just dug the hole deeper for Obama. Of course the liberal establishment, like the Atlantic, have rushed to his defense and tried to explain his statement as being reasonable.

Obama’s statement is only reasonable to the progressive hive mind. It describes their worldview in a nutshell. Liberals believe that government creates everything: the economy, jobs, businesses, bridges, buildings, aircraft, toothpaste, birth control, gum drops and everything else in our culture and society.

Liberals are adamantly opposed to capitalism in any form and refuse to give businessmen credit for the things they do best: like creating a vibrant and viable economy and raising the standard of living for everybody. Capitalism and business produce freedom, security and better health for everyone. It is in socialist nations that you find high costs, shortages and oppression. Business is the prime driver of capitalism, and small business is the main driver of the business community. Business fuels the entire economy.

A rugged individual, or partners, with a dream and the drive to make things happen built every single business there ever was. Everybody else works for them, unless they draw a government check. Yes, President Obama, they built that. They made that happen!

That businessmen provide the very basis for a capitalist economy is not an idea Obama can embrace, much less deal with. The very idea contradicts his collectivist world-view and his Alinsky approach to solving the problem of capitalism. As far as I can tell, he’s only had three real jobs in his entire life—and the one he had filling ice cream cones at Baskin-Robbins was his most productive.

Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal made a great observation on President Obama's business and executive experience:

“President Obama hasn't run anything before he was elected President of the United States. Never ran a state, never ran a business. Never ran a lemonade stand. This job’s too important for on-the-job training.”

Even Hillary said that the Presidency was no place for on-the-job training. For once I agree with her.

In Chapter Three of Lost in Zombieland I discuss Obama's lack of qualifications for the most important executive position in the entire world:

“Barak Hussein Omeba was the least qualified candidate to ever run for the Presidency… He was, in fact, ineligible for the office. That he was neither qualified nor eligible for the most important elected office in the United States of America did not bother the media, nor stop them from campaigning for him…Omeba’s only tangible accomplishment's up that point in his life were two books he had written about himself. He had no real accomplishments to write about, so he wrote about his personal “journey.”

Barack Obama has never opened a business, never run one, never made payroll, or had to deal with complex business regulations. He’s never paid business taxes and never had to deal with the plethora of burdensome government regulations that plague businesses and our economy today. Government is the now the single greatest threat to business, our economy and our way of life. As president Reagan famously said, “Government is not the solution. Government is the problem.”

You Barack Hussein Obama are not qualified to talk about business or our capitalist economy, much less run them.

You, President Obama, never ran a lemonade stand.

As I’ve have said recently Obama is either a serious drug user, like crack cocaine or LSD/and/or he is very seriously deluded or even mentally ill. It seems in the last three and a half years or most certainly in the last few months anyway what has come out of this idiots mouth in terms of pure ignorance bordering on the just plain crazy seems to have stunned a good part of the nation. I’ll say it again:Barack Obama is f’ing nuts!!

Speaking of the debates, don’t get too exited, Obama will probably figure out a way to cheat; he’ll have some ear implant w/answers fed to him. I put nothing past Chicago dirty politics. And if Romney wins, he better win BIG because otherwise they’ll steal the election.

Then you’d better work hard to get everybody you know out to the polls, if you hope to cancel out the dead vote, the illegal vote, the felon vote, and the imaginary vote.

Did McCain ever run a lemonade stand? Wasn’t he the other choice? He was involved deeply in the S&L corruption of the early 1990’s (remember Charles Keating?) just like Obama’s early exposure to business came from Tony Rezko. Don’t forget McCain’s narcissistic suspension of he campaign at the hight of the financial crisis — a brilliant display of his business acumen.

Unfortunately we had a choice in 2008 between two corrupt politicians neither of whom could run a business on his own.

With respect to Romney no doubt he benefited from the education, world experience, and connections available to the son of a wealthy and nationally prominent businessman, at least when he was starting out. Could he have made it to the point of founding and running Bain as a middle class or poor kid truly doing it on his own? We will never know. He has the intellect, the drive, and the work ethic but the road is tougher when you start from nothing.

The sad thing about the campaign at this point is Team Obama has successfully put Romney on the defensive about who he is and what he has accomplished, while the Marxist Obama has no reservations about letting the world know who he is and where he stands. Obama is proud of who he is and is not running away from his beliefs or his record. Romney is letting his opponent successfully define him as a threat when he should be destroying Obama.

Another 2-3 weeks of the polite defensive campaign and I will begin to question Romney’s business skills. Businesses that allow their competitors to control the message to the customer get slaughtered. Businesses that have no attack game when a competitor goes after them rarely survive. If Romney is the businessman he claims to be he needs to start showing it.

There is plenty of doubt that he actually wrote those books himself.

A fine example of "someone else made those happen."

The enjoyment of Lemonaide is a right bestowed on us all by our magnanimous King. However, only 16 oz. Unless you are a Obama supporter or a union employee. Than you get a special wavier and are allowed two glasses. But not with sugar. The government has determined sugar is non-nutritional and therefore banned. Unless you are a Democrat.

If you killed Osama bin Laden, somebody along the line gave you some help. There was a National Security Officer somewhere in your life. Somebody helped to create this unbelievable American military that we have that allowed you to thrive. Somebody invested in stealth helicopters and night vision goggles. If you’ve got Osama—you didn’t do that. Somebody else made that happen.”

“This clown is the same type who could not run half a dozen coin operated toilets in New York City and turn a friggin profit!”

That is so true! He is completely clueless when it comes to actually doing productive work and running any kind of business. He would screw even public toilets up!

“What gives you the idea that there will be any debates?”

There are always Presidential debates. It’s the one time every four years I watch television.

Mandated, government-regulated, licensed and taxed lemonade...unless you belong to the Democrat Party voting bloc, in which case the lemonade is free or you have a “special waiver” from having to drink it.

“Now, though, I got an excuse. I sweated to start a business. It failed, but ‘somebody else made that [failure] happen.’ Not my fault! I guess about the bad economy and out of control govt spending BHO will say: “Somebody else made that happen.”

Bravo to you! Every business enterprise risks failure. It takes guts and determination to build a business. Nobody does it for you. You stand in the arena and endure the battle. Good for you!

I agree with you. Bill Ayers, the SDS terrorist, wrote at least one of the books. Omeba isn’t that good a writer. Moochelle is worse.

Romney is a GOP-e, no question about it. But you remember what he did to Gingrich, et al in the primaries. Omeba is a target-rich environment. I think Romney will do well in the debates with Omeba. We’ll get a chance to see soon.
