Guess what? God’s name has been removed from the Democratic National Committee platform.
This is the paragraph that was in the 2008 platform:
“We need a government that stands up for the hopes, values, and interests of working people, and gives everyone willing to work hard the chance to make the most of their God-given potential.”
Now the words “God-given” have been removed. The paragraph has been restructured to say this:
“We gather to reclaim the basic bargain that built the largest middle class and the most prosperous nation on Earth – the simple principle that in America, hard work should pay off, responsibility should be rewarded, and each one of us should be able to go as far as our talent and drive take us.”

It strikes me that the DNC has truly come out of the closet this year, banking on its assumption that society is now corrupt enough to handle the truth of the transition of the Democrat party to communism. Any Christians out there who don’t yet vote should run, not walk to be registered and then be sure to do so in November. I’ve heard percentages spoken on Christian radio regarding non voting Christians that are shocking. It strikes me that with just a tiny effort, given the number of Christians in this country, that they could take everything back in just a few election cycles if they’d vote in numbers representing their true population. It is looking like 1933 all over again and there are too many easily manipulated people out there. I doubt anyone on this forum doesn’t vote, but the word needs to be spread at the pulpit.
I get your point. I pray American wakes up to the One and only true God. Historically I think of Disraeli, the great English Prime Minister, although Jewish and having personal pecadillos, was a great asset to Britain. Lincoln’s wife was into the occult, JFK was an apostate catholic who saved our country during the Cuban Missile Crisis. I’m not happy with our choices. I do know the God of history will ultimately prevail even though the democrats have officially removed His Name from their platform.
You could count on a pro-homo comment every 5-minutes during the DNC convention last night... Quickly followed (or preceded, just to mix it up a little) by a pro-abort comment.
They are God-less. They are their own little gods.
I watched about 5 minutes of convention so far, tuned in yesterday just as a very pretty girl was leading them in a prayer
She was reading prayer from teleprompter,she and audience some with bowed heads tried to keep a straight face while they seemingly approached the Lord God in a prayer???
They I guess are looking for a blessing from God/Jesus that somehow he will overlook their support of murdering his unborn children, supporting the removal of His Name from classroom/Public square and harming the little ones by teaching them they can have a boyfriend or a girl friend??

Catholic League president Bill Donohue comments on how the Democrats are explaining the removal of the term “God-given” from the Democratic Platform:
Last night, CNN’s Piers Morgan asked Democratic National Committee (DNC) chair Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz why the Democrats excised the word “God” from its Platform. She dodged the question by saying, “We have a commitment through all faith traditions that our values are reflected in our policy. And that means that we should look out for the least of these, that we should fight for the middle class, that we should let everybody in America have an opportunity to be successful.”
To his credit, Morgan wasn’t buying it. “This is, somebody has deliberately taken out the word ‘God’ because it was in the last one,” he said. In response, Wasserman Schultz remarkably said, “I can assure you that no one has deliberately taken God out of the Platform.” Morgan pressed her again, “So it was an accident?” She refused to answer.
Yesterday, noting that the Democrats are not exactly religion-friendly, I commended them for their “honesty and transparency” in excising “God” from the Platform. I was too kind—they couldn’t get past the day without lying.
As if we needed more proof, on Monday the DNC’s Faith Council met for a morning session. Though thousands were already in Charlotte, a grand total of 150 showed up at the event. Did they discuss faith-based solutions to social problems, or the role of religion in public life? No. According to christianpost.com blogger Paul Stanley, they were fixated on such issues as voter suppression and affordable healthcare.
Had the Democratic faithful, disproportionately comprised of atheists and agnostics, known that the Faith Council wasn’t going to talk about God, they could have packed the house.

Pressed for the fifth time by Piers Morgan, Wasserman-Schulz, with her head downcast, quietly said,
“It was a cease and desist order.”
Morgan, “What? From the Vatican?”
W-S, “uh, no.”

They just plain don’t like the idea of God. These people are their own little tin gods.

Lincoln’s wife was not the president and JFK was not godless. In 08 America chose to vote for evil/godless and since then America took a deep nosedive. God is the One who blesses a nation or withholds It. God doesn’t force HIM/His Will on anyone. We must want HIM above all.
I did not say JFK was godless. I said he was apostate. Probably the wrong word. Disobedient or sinful would be more appropriate. But I don’t understand how anyone can be a good Catholic and screw everyone in sight, including pool girls, Marilyn Monroe, etc. The point is he wasn’t perfect but God used him in his own way to save America. ala Richard Nixon to save the State of Israel during Yom Kippur.
I know, I DID! I was referring to the article. And, yes, God did use Nixon in a powerful way to save Israel. If that is all he did - that alone was worth his presidency! Whatever Golda Meier wanted/needed she got from Nixon. And America was blessed for it!
I just got a serious chewing out by a coworker. He said that If I vote for Romney, I’m voting for someone who believes Jesus and Satan were brothers. He appointed prochoice judges in Massachusetts. The God Romney believes in is not the Triune God of the Bible. When a crisis in the Presidency occurs, he will be bowing down to strange Gods
. We are in the period of the Kings. God is giving this wicked Country what it deserves. I don’t know what I’ll do. I know I can’t vote for the god-hating democratic party. I don’t know about the deceptive slimy republicans. Honestly, my main concern is the unborn. Which party is more likely to curtail the outright dlaughter of innocent preborns? I’m not putting you down, just trying to do what is right by my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. who promised the World would hate us as it hated Him.

No. I don't believe that for a minute. God isn't doing it, it's evil that's doing it. And voters are choosing evil. Me, I put my trust in God first, last, always. God can work through a 'Nixon' a 'Bush' or a 'McCain' but not the godless.

Doesn’t a country express itself by the laws it passes and the people they elect? I know there are a lot of god fearing people left in America. Allen West, Oliver North, Sarah Palin, Rick Perry, just to name a few. But aren’t we to be judged by who we elect? Come on a man cannot either express his views on God given marriage without being called a “hater.
I am thinking seriously about my previous position of voting for Romney. I believe voting is our only civic currency left. God will hold us accountable for our vote. Would writing in a minority Christian candidate do any good?
What we need personally and nationally is Holy Spirit driven repentance followed by another Great Awakening. If this don’t happen the 4 horseman of the Apocalypse will draw nearer. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem , brother. I have to sign off because of work constraints.
