Out of the 10 neighbor homes I can see from my house, at least 6 of them will be voting for Obama.

On one hand, I’d like to convince them otherwise, but on the other I don’t want politics to interfere with our relationships.

Oh, well, it’s worth a try.

It really isn’t. All internal polling does is ask specific “marketing” questions/issue questions to help candidates focus their messages-—emphasize what people want to hear. It isn’t any more accurate. A well-done poll is accurate, one that oversamples Dems-—no matter who does it-—is crap. I think we’re starting to get some pollsters trying to save their reps.

Out here in the hinterlands of Westmoreland County, I’ve seen UFCW for Obama 2012 bumper stickers (in a local Giant Eagle parking lot) and quite a few “Obama is Destroying Coal” yard signs. Did happen to be in beautiful downtown Greensburg the other day and saw the ObamabinBiden HQ..looked kinda quiet there.

I do think PA is winnable. A lot of people who don’t usually pay attention have awakened. A great entre to discuss the economy—our sw PA electric bills have skyrocketed. I always say, do you know why??? Well let’s talk coal fired power plants being shut down here. Opens a few eyes (except for some teacher friends of mine—who are true Obot believers).

Thanks for the info. Have to take exception with this junk about “how bad” Romney is. He is absolutely kicking butt against an incumbent AND the media, turning every story used against him back to his favor. And, from my sources on the ground here in OH, they are amazed at the organization he has in place in terms of calling, walking, identifying voters, etc. My local county chairman said he thought OH would go Romney . . . well, I won’t say how much but you’d be shocked what the insiders are thinking.

That ain’t no “poor” candidate.

“I live in Pittsburgh,Obama will win this state.”

I live here too. I agree 100%. The success in 2010 was due to it being a non Pres. election year. I think Obama’s margin of victory in PA will only be 2 or 3% though.

However, if I’m wrong, I’d be more than happy to eat plates upon plates of raw, rotten crow!

“I just hope the momentum is also enough to get Casey out of the Senate as well.”

That’ll never happen. He’ll have that seat until he’s bored with it. That last name is like “Kennedy” here in PA ... in the urban regions anyway ...

I just pray that the cØmmunist piece of shit excrement gets annihilated on 6 Nov.

Given the unmitigated concomitant disasters of this economy, domestic social unrest, and the CF internationally (esp re rags), the maggøt's getting a second term is just about unthinkable.

“He is absolutely kicking butt against an incumbent “

Disagree.

Romney has run a lame campaign. He will not win this based on his campaign.
Zero can lose this, but there is nothing about Romney’s “I’ll Model Dewey’s Campaign” that will win it.
This campaign will turn on whether Zero can make the election about something other than his own performance.
If he does, he will win. If he can’t, he will lose it.

I’m almost convinced that the Dems somehow deliberately make these PA polls look so promising for the GOP, in order to get us to waste our money there. Year after year after year...

If he asked, I’d tell Romney: Forget PA. Not a dime to them. Spend whatever you have in VA, first & foremost. Then OH, FL, WI, MO, CO & MI.

The answer to your question is simple. The internal polls that both campaigns use are accurate. They know what the numbers REALLY are. Now ask yourself: Why isn’t the lame-stream media using the same methodology? Because then it would reflect how Obama is not really in the lead. That’s not what the lame-stream wants. They want to produce poll after poll that shows Obama leading so people will start to believe it, and republicans will become down-hearted. The only way they can produce polls that show Obama ahead is to over-sample Dems at 2008 levels.

“Can someone explain why internal polling might be more accurate, and why the “external” polling orgs don’t use those same methodologies (aside from the bias of news organizations)?”

That’s simple to answer. Most polls done for public consumption are done by the Marxist/Obammunist Media, and their purpose isn’t to accurately reflect the truth (just like everything else they do), but instead is to try to influence weak-minded and ill-informed voters that everyone else is voting for Obama so there must be something wrong with them if they aren’t doing what the rest of the herd is doing.

“Yup. Have seen a bunch of BO lawn signs and bumper stix. NOT ONE ROMNEY!”

I wouldn’t be counting votes by how many Zero bumper stickers you see. I’m as conservative as they come and I work at a university. There is no way I am putting a Romney sticker on my car. Might as well put a sign on it that says “Please vandalize my car.”

See, can't win with your logic. Even if Romney takes every EV, well, "Obama was that bad."

Just plain silly.
