And so begins our annual 7th TexasCowboy Memorial Shoot.

TexasCowboy (aka COB1) was a true Texas gentleman, great friend, patriot, and a firm believer in the 2nd Amendment. It is truly an honor to continue a tradition he started many years ago, hosting shoots for FRiends around the great state of Texas.
Many FReepers are coming into town on Thursday so that they can have a tourist day on Friday. Those lucky people are going to be made (a good) miserable Thursday evening by enjoying TheMom’s Kick Ass Enchilada’s.
The only set tourist place is The Lady Lex.
Friday evening we will meet at Captain Benny’s, 103 Fulton Beach Road Fulton, TX 78382, at 8:00 p.m., for a delicious seafood dinner. (They do not take credit cards or serve liquor ~ so remember to bring your cash & booze.)
Saturday morning we meet for breakfast at Alice Faye’s, 910 North Fulton Beach Road, Fulton, TX 78358, at 8:00 a.m. The shoot is scheduled to start at 10:00 a.m. at, Schwenke’s Gun & Pistol Range, 4407 FM 1069 Aransas Pass, TX, 78336. Mr. Schwenke has reserved the 25 yard shooting station for our group to use as “home base”. The only major rule at this range is do not shoot the livestock. A BBQ lunch will be served at 12:30ish.
Once the shooting is done some of us will be going to the Rockport Seafair, while others will go back to the Pelican Bay cottages for some R&R. Saturday evening will be filled with yummy junk food and margaritas!
According to the forecast, it looks as the weather will be perfect. Lows in the mid-sixty’s, highs in the mid-eighty’s.

I love little breakfast joints with big breakfasts.
Everyone in the whole town was there. Some in their Sunday best. We knew right away from the packed parking lot that Ramsey’s was the place to eat. Clean restroom too. LOL.

If you don’t mind posting them, that would be great. Hubby is now looking online for grills and I would also have to sign up for a pic posting account somewhere to do it too and it could be days before I get it done....lol.
Is BK all right? You were off line so I imagined you got him in the cage?

Good idea on the accessibility stuff. Hopefully by then Jim will have his new chair too and can jump bigger humps with ease. Ask about the johns too. Like how many in each cottage and the house, etc. i read something about no ‘paper’ in the toilets...does that mean tp too?? That might be gross....lol.
I will also call a friend and see what places she knows around those parts. They have huge family reunions every couple of years down that way and she probably knows many of the places that are set up for bigger groups.
The place you found looks really awesome though, so hope it works out!
That would be awesome if Doc comes!! Hubby says he wants to come so I think it is going to happen.
You and humblegunner, both. Hubby saw it sitting there, all lonely and blue, and he stashed it in its little black bed and put it back in the car. (WTHeck???) I wasn't even done with the stinkin' thing.
He heard about that for a few seconds on the way home, I'll tell ya what. However, I do not go on and on about that stuff. A short but scathing comment, and I'm done.
We were going to stop by and let Gunner shoot it on our way home, but he didn't have time anymore. Sigh...
Y'all will just have to shoot it next June 8. And it's not getting put up until everybody who wants to has fired it.
And we'll just go on ahead and load up the 50rd mags as well, and we'll convert our one 30rd to 50.

Yep BK is fine....vet thinks it is just a bad bite that is trying to absess. Taking him back on Friday to make sure it is going away and not a tumor. It isn’t a tumor though because it wasn’t there last week. I rub his belly all the time and never felt it before. Got all his shots and tested him for feline luekemia and Kity aids and he is all clear on that too. Now time to let all the cats get to know each other and get rid of the plyboard thingy....lol.
