Mitt Romney's national lead over President Obama grew even more Thursday, with the latest Gallup survey showing the Republican nominee up 7 points -- as polling in the battlegrounds indicates the electoral map may be shifting in Romney's favor.
In a significant development, the RealClearPolitics electoral map, which offers predictions of which states favor which candidates, for the first time is showing Romney ahead in terms of electoral votes he is likely to win on Nov. 6.
Obama had a big advantage over Romney for months in those projections. But in the past few weeks, states thought to favor Obama like New Hampshire and Pennsylvania were moved into the "toss-up" column. Meanwhile, RCP just moved North Carolina from "toss up" to "leans Romney." The projections -- while subject to change any time of any day -- show Romney with a likely 206 electoral votes and Obama with 201. That leaves another 131 electoral votes up for grabs in the battlegrounds.

Don’t count on it; I live next to Newark NJ, and the blacks there aren’t enthusiastic about Obama anymore. They made history with our first mulatto president, and now they’re looking at their horrible neighborhoods, high unemployment, etc. and wondering when it will end. Many blacks who initially supported Obama now regard him as a wealthy white liberal with no connection to them at all; nothing has improved for them, and everything is a bit worse.
The fact that a small number of blacks are openly supporting Romney on television/radio is a bad sign for him; they are now alloed to publicly repudiate him without fear of repercussion. They’ve broken ranks publicly for the first time in decades because things have gotten so bad; the fact that they now have to “ride in back” while Hispanics take the wheel may play a part in that as well.

They're desperate, they're losing, and they know it. And, of course, we love to see their agony.
Well, remember that it takes a long time for some kids to really 'grow up' - some not getting there until their late 30's or 40's. And yes, some never do 'make it' because they carefully avoid taking a hard look at history, evidence, facts, and last but most importantly God's Word.
Considering the source, you know they're lying to themselves to keep from crying.
No matter what, I just can't really believe that Illinois can be won by Romney. But hey, in this election I think the 'unthinkable' can and just might be a bit more than possible.
With many 'conservatives' saying they can't vote for a Mormon, and many saying they'll be voting for anybody but Obama and Romney (a vote for Obama, whether they admit it or not,) and liberal media lying about everything they can - and the massive amount of Democrat fraud that is taking place as I write - yes, just about anything is possible.
But in spite of all of that - I think we're about to see a Romney 'landslide.' I could very well be wrong, but my gut, and what I see on the ground, tells me that it is more likely that Obama will be thrown out of office by a huge majority of very angry Americans.
Then why are polls saying that 95% of blacks are for him and will vote for him? If he has no fans and is nothing, why does he have 45-48% of all the polls?
He has some support, but I don’t believe it is near the level portrayed by his media. I work with blacks that had started to make some headway into the middle class and have fallen back (as many whites have); for those forced into the workplace by the 1996 welfare reform, they enjoyed a brief stint of independence and are now being pushed right back onto public assistance. Some bought new cars, some went on crusies, and all are now hurting. They had a bried taste of “normalcy”, which was quickly replaced by the “new normal”.
It is sad, but they have lost their zeal for him; they want to know things will get better, and admit to themselves that this won’t happen with him.

Wow — that’s a pretty absurd thing for Trippi to say. A southern surge really means something. FL, VA and NC aren’t exactly unimportant to the outcome. Moreover, southern Ohio and the Protestant counties in western Pennsylvania are pretty darn “southern” in attitude and outlook.
so, you experts, what states are the MUST wins for Rom, starting in the east....

Voting for Obama would be like re-upping for a case of genital warts. It’s Romney’s time.
I am thinking Virgina, Ohio and Florida are must wins. Well, Romney HAS to win two of the three. I feel Virginia is good, so it come down to Ohio and Florida.
