this leak is a potentially devastating revelation since it exposes him to attack on two fronts - from both the libertarian Right and the liberal Left. The liberal left will swallow hard and make excuses for this. I predict that "It's for the children" will appear somewhere in their arguments.

In fairness, Obama surely just learned about this yesterday from the newspaper reports and he’ll get right on it. It is surely the result of Bush holdovers and rogue agents at NSA. Obama has only had five years, and he hasn’t had time to clean up every inherited mess.

I'm not happy with this of course but I wonder if it is ILLEGAL. NSA is prohibited by law from monitoring domestic phone calls. The law may not necessarily prohibit monitoring phone records.
Be forewarned: If it is not illegal then the likelihood that "Bush did it" and "Clinton did it" and "Reagan did it" is very high. An easy out for Obama.
If it is illegal I would personally be very surprised that the management of NSA would go for it. Yes, we spy on the Brits and give them the info and the Brits spy on us and give NSA the info but that is, technically, not illegal.
But this is the Obama Administration. Heaven knows who is in charge now at NSA. I don't. If this really is a rogue operation by NSA then Obama has a expanded his list of scandals from 3 to 4 (and counting, stay tuned).

As horrifying as the revelations have been so far about the abuses of this regime, we’ve only seen the tip of the iceberg.

So we all lose our freedoms because crazed Czechnyan and other terrorists and terrorist wannabees roam the US, both legally and because the feds won't remove invaders for the US?
I'm more disgusted with the Republicans who can't follow through on these scandals and drive Obama and his team out of DC than I am at Obama and his team who are still getting away with the Benghazi outrage, and still arming terrorists to do their globalist dirty work.

'Mounting Evidence' Boston Bombers Involved in 2011 Triple Murder ... May 10, 2013 VIDEO: Boston Marathon Bombing Investigation Feds Chase ... Tamerlan and Mess were once roommates and did boxing and martial arts training together... The officials also said records of cell phones used by the Tsarnaevs appears to put them in the area of the murders on that date. ========================================= I always wondered how law enforcement knew the geographic location of the Tsarnaev brothers years after the phone calls were made.

The reason its Verizon is AT&T is government buddies.
Verizon is like a unorganized group of branches. There is loose organization and a bunch of buyouts that created the company. With a decentralized business model the gov probably had an easier time getting the message files from verizon than it would from AT&T

Nope, won’t happen.
Our low information voters love the dork.
He’s their sort of person.
Loutish, peckish, uneducated, and untalented.
Hmmmm, I just described the MSM also.
Makes sense.

Obviously they are getting ATT’s records too. Don’t expect the fascists to voluntarily tell us that!
The media will talk about it a while, but tell the public that it’s no big deal.
Change it to a Bush presidency, and he’s hitler, mussolini, stalin, the kgb and the ss all in one.
