Posted on 06/10/2013 4:36:24 PM PDT by Laissez-faire capitalist
JUDGE ANDREW NAPOLITANO: I would describe this man as an American hero, as a person willing to risk life, limb and liberty in order to expose to the American people one of the most extraordinary violations of the American principles, value judgments and the Constitution itself in all of our history.
A person so familiar with the intelligence community, as you just heard from the excerpts that you just played. He's aware of the personal danger to himself. He knows of the likelihood of prosecution. But he also understands that the government listening to half the country is not what was bargained for when statues were enacted in the days and weeks after 9/11...

I think we can agree we’re discussing the relative horrors of two liberty destroying phenomena. Fair enough. Both suck. ;-)
Right. As I said in my posting, he still subscribes to the policies of the Left, which negates any respect or gratitude I can extend to him.
If he came out and said “I was wrong. I believed all these things that the left believes, but I have come to see how corrosive and destructive they are...” I would be right by his side.
It is why I view Whittaker Chambers as one of the most important people in the 20th Century (See my freep page) because he was an acolyte of one of the most bloodthirsty, repressive, brutal ideologies of all time, and managed to see the light. His book “Witness” is one of the top two most influential books in my adult life.
Go to wally world, buy a cheapo $19.99 clamshell dumb phone with cash. Buy a minutes card too, with cash. No contract.
You didn’t know that?
Very true. We can definitely agree on that. Thank you for pointing that out.
Can we really say we know all of the facts about this? I trust nothing presented by the MSM. Yet an other distraction from obama criminal actions in Benghazi.
Exposing an expanding police state makes someone a traitor? No, that makes the government treasonous.
Selling red armbands is a good calling for a sjpporter of pervasive surveillance of the innocent. Keep up the good work, comrade, and don’t fail to meet Dear Leader’s QUOTA!
Yes. They are using the muscle of government to battle their ideological foes like no other in this country ever has in modern history.
I have always felt that he is Ann Coulter in drag:
Blustery, but typically preaching to the choir during times of relative calm, when it doesn’t really matter. I’m not sure you can work in the Executive Branch without becoming tainted by the concentration of power.
THANK YOU for the information.
It is odd how this very forum has had an abundance of posters over the last several years that have expressed the sentiment that only people of conscience on the “inside” could alert Americans to the abuses of the bam admin, and finally blow the lid off the dirty secrets and police state tactics used on their political adversaries, and when one finally does, he’s raked over the coals like Benedict Arnold.
Best way to disarm the enemy's lines of communication is to steal his language!
Leftwingtards beware ~ you are losing your tongues.
Absolutely watch Snowden’s interview. It is a powerful 12 and a half minutes.
It’s spooky how many crypto totalitarians there are here. Topics like this flush them into the open.
Tossing The Bill of Rights overboard is a big deal.
I think he needs to FILTER the cr*p out ~ he'd be more popular.
“I view him the same way I view an enemy traitor in a time of war who provides my side with information. The traitor may have all kinds of reasons for his actions (I felt I wasnt getting the appropriate recognition or promotion, I didnt agree with the direction of the war, etc) but he still supports the basic beliefs of the side he betrays.”
After watching him, I find him to be authentic, committed to the rights of US citizens not to be infringed and a person of immense courage and authenticity. That is enough.
His sacrifice for the American people is immense and valuable.
You err in imagining a Ron Paul donor can tell the truth. Very little that this guy said is believable at this point ~
All I need to know to decide what side I’m on is to read who’s against Snowden.
Obama, Feinstein, most of the democrats: against the leaker... They believe he’s a traitor, an awful human, deserves to be extradited etc etc etc.
Don’t need to know anything else.
Way to be BRAVE Snowden — against the most devisive and dangerous administration this country has ever faced (and I firmly believe the Clintons still run it, with the Obamites mere soldiers to the Clinton machine).
Snowden refused to follow patently illegal orders from the Cabal.
Get real ~ this Snowden guy isn't on our side.
