First, as it stands now, (and ONLY my guess and it is early and much can change) do not expect George Zimmerman to take the witness stand (although he has a Constitutional right to do so if he wants to do so.)
This re-enactment video will help you understand the scene of the shooting according to George Zimmerman and is in his words. It is also a horrible video for the prosecution.

I am a winter near-Tarpon Springs-guy and try to spend most of my FL-time on the Gulf, not on dry land. As near as I can determine, I am the only Tarpon Springs guy who has ever even been to Sanford!
Problem is, they also tend to be outnumbered by liberals who fouled their former nests, and are intent on fouling their new nest.
I have anecdotal evidence of that, for sure. We have the same problem in Maine with MA people, to whom we affectionately refer as "Massholes." However, I am happy to report my impression is that the imported liberal problem in FL, including multi-state voting fraud, is far more severe on the Atlantic side, especially as you draw near Miami. The westerners seem to be more conservative, and well-armed, too.
The main problem the prosecutor has is no case. There is not one shred of credible evidence to suggest George Zimmerman comitted any crime much less 2nd degree murder.
Estimated jury deliberation time 5 minutes.
The biggy is who was on top. This tells us of the change of position.
Anyone who looks AFTER the shot sees Zimmerman on Tray's back trying to restrain him....so he was still alive...and I believe someone said they heard a gurgle.
Tray probably rolled onto his face to attempt to double up because of his wound...I understand his hands were under him when he was found...so when Zimmerman got off...he must have pulled his hands under his belly...right to the wound.

I realize there are many technicalities when presenting evidence, but if the tape is used to collaborate that Z was forthcoming in his explanations, instead of being used to tell his side, I think there might be enough leeway for a judge to allow it as evidence for that purpose? Even if said judge instructed the jury, “you must not allow his telling to influence your decision.”

I am really very surprised at some of the responses on this thread.
A burglary tool could be a large screw diver. If he had a small crowbar in his locker and got kicked out of school for it, it is not relevant in this situation with GZ.
If TM smoked weed on a regular basis, it is not relevant in this situation.
If TM’s girlfriend is uneducated, black and hates whites, it is not relevant in this situation.
What is relevant is GZ confronted an unknown person in his neighborhood walking on the sidewalk not bothering anyone. The Watch program had rules about staying in the vehicle and calling the cops. The dispatcher told GZ to stay in the vehicle and wait on police.
GZ got out of his car to confront someone who he did not know who was doing nothing wrong. Who was unarmed, with no burglary tools on them.
We do not know for sure who started the fight because GZ killed the only other person who was there. It might have been GZ who jumped TM because TM did not want to stand around and wait on the Po Po. And then when TM got the better of GZ, GZ shot him. We do not know what happened in truth. The trial is to decide that.
How many of YOU fellow freepers think you have the right to stop stop someone in your neighborhood just because you do not know who they are and they are of another race? And in addition you are sure you are armed just in case they do not cooperate with you? Do you know personally everyone who lives or is visiting in your neighborhood?
I am always armed, I believe in the 2nd amendment. I would notice if something is going on where I live that should not be. And I would not hesitate to call the cops (which I ahave). I also have been confronted 3 times in my life by armed individuals who have gone off their property and out of their way to confront me when I was doing nothing wrong.
GZ should have stayed in the car and let the cops handle this.

in no way do I want men roaming my streets at night in a rainstorm with a gun following people....at the same time, that neighborhood was not really Martin's....he was up to mischief, and the whole thing ended miserably...
too bad the supposed adults in this tragedy had to make it even worse......there are NO WINNERS period....even though the Martin family got a nice payout for some reason.
Zimmerman says the dispatcher said "can you get to somewhere where you can see him?"
Zimmerman was not following him...that was the problem....he lost him...
If the dispatcher said "can you get to where you can see him", that's makes the "don't follow" a moot point.
After it was made public Fox News played it in its entirety.
