I think Cruz passed second grade math class, so he’s unlikely to guarantee democrat plurality victories by starting a new party.

Let’s get him the Republican nod for President.

In the meantime he could run for Senate leader after the election. He’d likely lose that race but someone should challenge McCrapnel or the d-bag who will pick up the reins if McCrapnel is not renominated or reelected.

Id rather see Cruz/Lee and a few others(with our help of course) take over the GOP.

Org. structure is in place and thats a HUGE advantage over a start up party.

I have a completely different view of the independent. The independent voter comes in three types:

The first type of independent is person in many cases who does not want to offend. Their political orientation can be the popularity or media driven viewpoint.

The second type of independent is the one who has an opinion, and has never been involved in politics. They have a bit of opinion and may be socially liberal but fiscally conservative.

The third type is the true independent who is politically involved. They are generally opinioned and have strong feelings about issues. Again oftentimes mirror the second type, e.g., socially liberal/fiscal conservative, or leaning mid-left or leaning mid- right in orientation.

The independent of the first two varieties are true citizens of the new order. They will sacrifice but will be what are deemed sheeple. The third variety is very oftentimes actively politically, either in forums or in person with political activities.

I like the third type of independent, but have little use for the other two types as they are generally swing voters or democrats who really are just fed up with their party at the "present time".

I assume a Third Party under CRUZ would be more of the second and third type independent but it would be a group whose diverse opinion might make it better to start THREE Independent Parties to manage each one accordingly:)

Sign me up. I think things have finally shifted to the point where it is now inevitable. There is no difference between the Democrats and Republicans. None. They are one and the same.

What difference is there between the two parties on the most important issue of our day, Obamacare? None. Even now we can see that most GOP a$$hats in the Senate actually support Obamacare by NOT supporting Cruz.

Who has the GOP supported and run as their White House nominee? Romney. McCain. Dole. Bush (1 and 2). And they were representative of conservatives?

Conservatives have no place to call home. I say it is time we build one for ourselves.

Waste of time , the US is a failed nation.

Reset is the only answer. As much as I don't want to, I completely agree with you.

America is fundamentally broken. There is no viable political fix. The only way to get the government back inside its constitutional restraints will be bloody and awful. May God have mercy on the people who took us here.

We saw what happened last election when Obama got re-elected because too many sat out or voted third party. A move like this will only succeed in getting Hillary elected. We need to unite in the primary to ensure that the most conservative candidate that can possibly beat Hillary gets the nomination. If we don’t do that, the GOPe RINO will slip thru the cracks and become our candidate.

I’m ready for Texas to secede, close the southern border, and go it alone.

If any adjacent states wanted to join up, that would be fine.

Now is about the time to make up our minds, to move or consolidate with the GOP.

McCain shut the he** up and sit down. You are now the GOP’s biggest problem.

If that idiot is still up spouting off his nonsense and hogging the camera by the end of this year, then pack it in and let’s run for a new party.

I’m all for this.

Yes I would! I have never joined another party, but often voted libertarian just as a protest vote. Now I am ready. I will pay to sign up. I will stand up in my small corner of the world and be counted as against this Republican Party. They have gone way too far. Reminds me of stories of Ancient Rome with all their senators foolery .

Heck yeah. What's he waiting for?

For a third party to succeed it needs instant credibility. If a third party is declared and a number of senators and congressmen immediately declare membership in it then that gives it the credibility necessary.
