Senator Mark Begich (D., Ala.(sic)) said Monday that he has enrolled in a health-insurance plan through the federal marketplace.
Begich, who has been a supporter of Obamacare, told the Associated Press that he had no trouble signing up. He also declared that the difference in the exchanges performance between its launch and now was day and night.
Previously, enrollment proved so difficult that Enroll Alaska, a company founded specifically to enroll Alaskans, threw in the towel. According to the company, the federal exchanges subsidy calculator was under-calculating the tax subsidy Alaskans were eligible for by $100.
The freshman senator said that the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services had informed him that the calculator was now functional. Tyann Boling, Enroll Alaskas chief operating officer said that she had not been able to confirm that the calculator had been fixed.
Mark screwed up on Photo Radar & Obamacare; no third chance for him; you’re outta the picture in 2014 and so you ain’t setting your kids up either. You ain’t got Uncle Teddy to kick around no more; that’s means Mark is unelectable.
LOL I see the Dems are attacking Ted Cruz because his wife has a deluxe policy for him via Goldman Sachs.
Yeah, there’s no way that this stunt plays into a shot at a successful reelection in AK. Maybe he’s playing for a post senate ambassadorship
She blistered Begich on Hannity last night. Said he bad mouths 0bama when he's in Alaska and kisses his butt when he's in DC. (my words) Her words "he talks out of both sides of his mouth."
I doubt that he signed up on-line. He probably did it in person with one of the Obamacare navigators.

“Two Alaskans successfully used the federal Obamacare exchange, Healthcare.gov, to sign up on Monday and Tuesday. And Chris Fowler, an outreach and enrollment coordinator with the Alaska Primary Care Association, said yesterday that the states 25 community health centers have helped sign up five others, bringing the confirmed total of enrolled Alaskans to seven.”
From Oct 18, but considering the lag time for actual confirmation on enrollment, he is a lucky man. One of maybe ten Alaskan winners.
well bully for Senator Beyotch....now GFY.
That's one term US Senator Mark Bag-Itch.
My Goodness...DIMs are such loons.
There is an excellent chance he is lying out his a$$. I don't believe him for a second.
You mean, have you paid for it for him yet?

Wish you were right brother! There’s too large of a population up here that resides in Los Anchorage, or the Anchorage suburb of Seattle that vote straight up rat and slavery every time.
Like this isn’t a setup, right!
They’re going to sign up their minions, easy, cheap, comprehensive, everything the American public will never see. These people amaze me with their constant theatrics or should I say propaganda?
Now MAKE your STAFF ENROLL, Hypocrite, because you KNOW you will have the FINEST DOCTORS at your disposal because you WERE a SENATOR!!! A CHEATING SENATOR, but a SENATOR NONETHELESS.
From your lips to God's ears, but don't forget the Stupid Party has a role in this too. It's never too early or too late for them to step on their crank and yank defeat from the jaws of victory.
On a side note, didn't Begich actually claim that he had read the entire Obamacare bill when it first came out? No doubt he is a first class tool.
We got em here too (dems, not sure about big foots), and thanks to Los Anchorage some get elected. Think Seattle/King County in Washington or any other big city filled with libs/commies in an otherwise conservative/sane state. Of course we have hippies in other parts of the state, but they are a minority and mostly just a nuisance or tourist attraction...
Don’t get me started...
The only political I'd ever trust up here in ALaska is Sarah Palin, I've seen her accomplish so many good things here in ALaska. MOst of all, I know without any doubts, Palin won't tote The Repub Party line if it ain't right; I respect that quality in a person.
