LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — NBA Commissioner Adam Silver announced Tuesday Clippers owner Donald Sterling will be suspended for life and fined $2.5 million in response to the racist remarks he allegedly made in a recorded audio clip.
Silver spoke to the press at 11 a.m. news conference from New York, stating he will “do everything in my power” to force the sale of the Clippers.
“The hateful opinions voiced by that man are those of Mr. Sterling. The views expressed by Mr. Sterling are deeply offensive and harmful. That they came from an NBA owner only heightens the damage and my personal outrage,” Silver said. “I am banning Mr. Sterling for life from any association with the Clippers association or the NBA. Mr. Sterling may not attend any NBA games or practices, he may not be present at any Clippers facility, and he may not participate in any business or decisions involving the team.”

We have created in the USA the unforgiveable sin. It was committed by the rodeo cowboy who had an 0bama mask. Also, Paula Deen many years ago.
Murder is not the unforgiveable sin. You can fly occupied planes into occupied buildings as long as you have dark skin and have a grievance against Christians and Jews. You can attack and injure or kill a White person walking on the street as long as you can say the word “rayciss.”
But if you are White and open your mouth, you can be called racist, a sin for which there is no repentance, no redemption, no forgiveness, no pardon. There is only a life of abject groveling, asking for forgiveness which is never given.
Well personally I think they can take Pro-Sports and College Sports and toss it all in a garbage can. Congress and Corporate Lawyers now running it have destroyed both. Now the same is infesting high School Sports as well. Want to see an honest game? Go watch kids play sandlot. It’s free, you can bring your own drink and snacks, & you don’t have to watch some singing drunk perform a strip tease at half time or scream off key for several million dollars paid for by your overpriced ticket.
If you go to a game....at least if you go to a thunder game.... the audience is NOT largely black. It is 80% or better white.
Yes, but if Sterling knew about it, the recording wasn’t illegal. It was a private matter, yes. ESPN is now confirming there was a third person in the room, which has nothing to do with the legality of the recording or whether Sterling had an expectation of privacy.

But did he have an expectation of privacy when making the statement. If so, it legally may be tossed, leaving the NBA with their pants down, and EXPOSED.
Sell the team that he bought for 12 Million for 500 Million, then sue the NBA.
And sue the ho for civil damages as well, not to mention, bring possible extortion charges against her as it is rumored she would make the recordings public if she didn’t get to keep a lot of the goodies she had access to (expensive cars, etc...) but did not own.
There is no such thing as an illegal recording, except if you record a government official committing a crime. THAT is illegal.
He can still own the team but he can’t participate in any its activities. That is pretty ridiculous.

It IS entirely true. I said that anything is possible with a jury, and that is ENTIRELY true. Yes, a judge can fix it, but a judge can also fail to fix it.
They have no way to enforce that.
OK, he stuck his foot in his mouth, and unwisely. I'd think if anything he'd WANT the race-blind props. What could he be scared of? His pals thinking him insufficiently white? And he ought to know this would go over like a lead balloon with the predominantly black players in the NBA. He should be thanking God for black people because they yield better basketball players. Maybe he didn't want a race-based fuss. Well he got one anyhow.
But the remark could mean anything and what has gone on seems to epitomize "witch hunt." Once he gets officially ostracized then he may have some very interesting things to say. That may sting far more than a request to a mistress.
He hasn’t made donations to Obama or anyone else in years. What few donations he made were pretty small, compared to those made by others in his position.
All black league huh. Why not an all-Injun league and an all-Chicano league and even an all-white league too? And they can all play each other. Racial slurs strictly banned at the games of course!

The NBA doesn’t have a swat team. This isn’t a court order to be enforced by a governmental agency. He should go to the game tonight.... smoke a cigar in his suite.... and cheer loudly for HIS team.
