A Michigan referee of an adult-league soccer match died Tuesday, two days after being punched in the head by a player, authorities said.
John Bieniewicz, 44, died at Detroit Receiving Hospital from injuries suffered in what police said was an unprovoked attack. The blow left the victim unconscious and not breathing on the field, Livonia Police Chief Curtis Caid said.
After the attack, the player fled the field and waved his middle finger at the crowd.
Bieniewicz was in critical condition when he reached the hospital and was pronounced dead Tuesday morning.

A Muslim-sounding man killed a white guy and they are “baffled”??

Nothing wrong here, it is the religion of peace. (big sarcasm). As what to do to the muzzie, look up some of the punishments given in the 1300 - 1500s, both in the west and in the middle east.

Couldn’t possibly be that he just got mad while playing sports and punched the ref, not intending to kill him. After all, he has a Muslim name.

I swear. Soccer is such a violent sport, that I believe that it should be banned in the U.S.
I have heard that in some matches that end in a tie, that they have shoot-outs. Terrible.

And it’s not like this sort of thing happens every day. oh wait, it does. Never mind again.
Every time I think that we’ve reached a new low with this administration, I find that I have underestimated them.
I don’t understand the violence associated with soccer.
Naaahhh.... First you have to go through the whole routine of making them wear more and more protection year after year until they're in full shoulder and knee pads with helmets and face masks.... Then ya' start screaming to shut it down.
It’s going to be tough to prove a first degree murder case, since it’s preposterous to think someone would plan a murder like this. Second degree is probably what they’ll threaten him with, and then they will plea down to manslaughter for a guilty charge.
It does? Muslims punch referees during soccer matches and kill them with one punch every day?
Its up to them to become "unbaffled". The rest of us can't wait for them to catch up.
The mitigating circumstance would be dependent on whether the perp punched the victim right there or had to run across the field to before he could hit the victim.
If it was an attack right there, it would be hard to prove first degree, because the accused could claim that he was provoked by the ref’s call. If he had to run across the field, that means he would have had to plan the attack, which would be a first degree.
