Not really. Aligning with Iran means getting Russia, Red China, North Korea and a whole bunch of others on its side.

Who did Fatah “sell” itself to? They are just as virulently anti-Israel as Hamas.

Let's see. Russia, China, N. Korea and a whole bunch of others. Yes, they've quite well telegraphed their inclinations against Israel in U.N. votes and many other kinds of evil actions. And on Fatah and Abbas, well, yeah. Abbas...Fatah, Hamas: a joint effort.

"North Korea’s nuclear tests have been dismissed as failures by some analysts because of their low explosive yield. But Dr. Pry believes they bore the “signature” of the Russian-designed “super-EMP” weapon, capable of emitting more gamma radiation than a 25-megaton nuclear weapon. "

Ronald Reagan, in his speech to the National Association of Evangelicals in 1983.

So, I urge you to speak out against those who would place the United States in a position of military and moral inferiority. You know, I’ve always believed that old Screwtape reserved his best efforts for those of you in the Church. So, in your discussions of the nuclear freeze proposals, I urge you to beware the temptation of pride–the temptation of blithely..uh..declaring yourselves above it all and label both sides equally at fault, to ignore the facts of history and the aggressive impulses of an evil empire, to simply call the arms race a giant misunderstanding and thereby remove yourself from the struggle between right and wrong and good and evil.

“Since 1917 the Soviet Union has given covert political training and assistance to Marxist-Leninists in many countries.” —President Ronald Reagan to the U.K. House of Commons

Fatah/Hamas is anti-Israel, yes. So much so, that it has gotten itself into trouble with several groups of Sunnis by running to the Shiites—perceived as being stronger—for help (e.g., Syrian-made missiles that Iran tried to export to Hamas—captured by the IDF). It’s common knowledge that Iran has supported Fatah/Hamas on a number of occassions as Saudi support for Hamas diminished. Hamas recently even got itself into trouble with the Egyptians again. As for Russia, Russia supplied and fomented the Six Day War, and Russia has obviously been up to its old tricks again without interruption except for its short term economic problem during the ‘90s.
