They've lined the streets with police in riot gear, brought in a new black commander with an empathetic manner, imposed a curfew, lifted it and deployed the National Guard and still the violence erupts nightly in the town of Ferguson, Missouri.
After more than a week of unrest following the fatal police shooting of Michael Brown, an unarmed black 18-year-old, law enforcement and political leaders are left struggling for answers to a frustrating question: What can we do to restore peace to the community?

Judith Durham?
they wouldn’t like my suggestion.
I agree about the media. They feed this.
They wouldn’t like anything that stopped the freebies.
great idea. bti’d either do what japanese stores do’to prevent young people loitering. they play a really loud high pitch sound olyyounger folks can hear and they can’t stand being there.
otherwise some really nice classical music would probably clear the streets.
Tracers?

It wasn’t Yoko Ono and her primal scream?
if they are controlling entry, then if any problems start tonite, the locals can’t claim ‘outsiders’ caused it. One day this community is going to have to look in the mirror. The apartment shooting last night, that led to dozens being gassed, likely was ‘usual’ crime and attached more to the gangs rampant in the town and not to the protest.
has nothing to do with freebies. everything to do with firepower.
No Peace!

Do not let anyone in that does not live there.
Check Id’s of anyone out and about within the city limits.
Anyone not living there gets escorted to said city limits.
Stops the importation of any rabble rousers.

I think so. I like it when Mark sings with her... :)
His timing, timbre and tone are off, but the lyrics speak to me. ;-)
“...Obama can not bring himself to condemn these actions unconditionally and forcefully. He excuses these actions with statements like there is also no excuse for police to use excessive force against peaceful protests. ....”
The trouble is, these ‘protests’posts are anything but peaceful.
They should treat this as an insurrection. You shoot enemy soldiers even if they run away. Keep this up every night and soon most everyone will abandon the insurrection.
All humans of good will should go down to some local body of water and float little peace boats and and pray for peace.

The “protests” are pieceful, as in I gotta piece of the rock.
