White privilege: An insidious virus that’s eating America from within

If whites had white privilege that keeps them ahead of other ethnic groups by artificial means, then why do Americans of east Asians descent earn more than white Americans? Our "white privilege" should have kept us ahead, right?

How are whites keeping blacks who live in virtually all black cities like Washinton D.C. and Detroit from doing well in school? Doing well in school has a direct correlation to income. Blacks do the worst in school of any other group of Americans. They also earn the lowest. The correlation should be obvious to everyone. Except people like O'Hehir who can't or refuse to see it.

I guess we’re just supposed to believe him when he says white privilege exists. It may be invisible to you and I, but it exists! Blacks commit a disproportionate amount of violent crime and receive far more welfare benefits than their numbers would otherwise indicate. The author completely discounts those facts.

Has this moron ever consider the possibility “white privilege” is invisible, undetectable, etc., because it does not, in fact, exist?

The ideology that assumes it is white privilege is something hatched out of the ivory towers of leftist university professors. The reason it gains such favor is that it shifts the focus away from the cultural context. It is a game where one demonizes one culture to elevate ones own culture. We see it in the Middle East where the Muslim culture demonizes the Western Israeli culture. It is the Top Dog against the Underdog. It a Cain vs Able. Telling it in any other way is turning a blind eye to history.

What they are calling “white privilege” is simply the confidence of being an adult and not needing to get approval or social acceptance. It’s got nothing to do with race, but adulthood. That so many people honestly believe that they need someone else’s “acceptance” in order to be themselves is simply a case of arrested development. It is appropriate in children and adolescents who are not mature enough to make life-changing decisions without guidance from their parents.

The whole idea is to make all adults insecure in their decision-making process to pretty much reduce us to serfs and peasants who must supplicate to our “betters” rather than make our own decisions.

What is this White privilege that I keep hearing about? Now I'll grant you that my family has only been in America since 1951, but I sure don't remember myself or my children benefiting from this White Privilege thing. As a matter of fact I know of more than a few occasions when being White caused a distinct disadvantage, but I never went out whining and crying about it.
