“Why did early reports say he answered affirmatively to traveling in West Africa?”
Section 8 housing = African conditions?

Don’t kid yourself. He could very well be sick with ebola while the apartment residents are not.
There are many diseases and examples where some, but not all or maybe only a few of those in contact with infected patients become ill while others show no effects just as some of those infected may survive while many of the infected do not.

"The patient claims to have had contact with the Dallas 'patient zero,'" according to a statement from Dana Baird-Hanks, a spokeswoman with the city of Frisco."
Service of quarantine order occurred well after patient 0 was in the hospital for good. 3-4 days after.

Dont kid yourself. He could very well be sick with ebola while the apartment residents are not. You are correct that it is possible. The infectious dose of the virus is very small and he could have had a paper cut or other entry point while they did not. It is not likely, but possible that he got it while they did not (yet).

If the officer has it then there is some hope that Jessie Jackass might also have had some direct contact and that in a few days he will personally meet with der Fuehrer, shake hands, etc.
It would be karma made real and in their faces.

CBS 11 just repeated the claim that he answered in the affirmative to that question on his paperwork at CareNow. First I’ve heard that reported locally. Very odd. I think someone crossed the streams.

When your boss orders you to do something that stupid, it’s time to resign on the spot and walk.
There’s no job worth a death sentence like that.

Is this the same judge that issued the quarantine order? The same order that the sheriff (who is now in isolation for Ebola exposure) served on Duncan?
Explains the publicity stunt.

There is much they don’t understand about virus transmission.

It is now being reported that the Dallas Ebola patient, Duncan, has expired. Didn’t know that when I posted #77.

They understand a lot in theory:
https://microbewiki.kenyon.edu/index.php/Infection_Mechanism_of_Genus_Ebolavirus but can't apply that theory to any particular case, there are too many unknowns. Ideally you would sacrifice a whole lot of monkeys to study the transmission mechanisms and how to reduce risk. Right now we have that Youngor Jallah who took rather courageous risks, disinfecting the apartment unprotected on Sunday, days before the mayor and other officials moved the residents out. Hope she survives and we can learn from her.
