If it’s not a service that is offered with the class of ticket he bought, he shouldn’t expect to ask for the service.
I don’t expect society to serve me just because I’ve done something good, if that’s what you mean.
Sergeant
On his salary? You cannot be series.
I fly a lot and fly first class on upgrades, half the people in First Class have not paid first class rates.
Not "Sergeant"?
Is this a British spelling?
Regards,
He hung the jacket behind his seat. Case closed.
I would have put it in the front hanger closet but thats me.
Get over it folks, at least she didn’t spit ebola on him.
Are you dense? He didn’t EXPECT, he asked.
He didn’t demand, he complied.
Other passengers objected - 1st class passengers offered their seats - he declined.
I advise you to take your petty comments elsewhere.
It looks like they acted as I would have hoped, as opposed to the way I assumed.
My bad
You just don’t get it, do you?
There's gotta be at least one in every thread.
I think they gather in a queue and take turns - "okay Jonty, you're up."
It comes with the right t have free speech. :)
A first class passenger hung the jacket behind his seat. There are no places in coach to hang a jacket, behind the seat or anywhere else.
Some planes have hanger hooks behind the last row of first class seats in addition to the closet space up front. This is where the jacket was hung - as good a place as any.
With your attitude, don’t expect anybody to serve you ever, for anything.
Sounds good to me. I would have offered my space as many would do. Folks must understand travel in the friendly skies is much different than 1990.
Read the article. People in First Class offered to trade seats with him, but the good soldier refused.
And with every right comes responsibility...you have been exercising your right irresponsibly.
I don’t know, as I rarely fly anywhere. I guess the additional cost of first class buys some good perks...unsure. I quit flying years ago...some weird experiences.
It s a singular sad thing that a stupid woman did. I’ve read this story about 10 times today. It’s this overarching outrage that makes the left laugh at us.1 stupid woman, and it was taken care of. Big deal. Now let’s worry about Islam tearing up the world can we?
Why not? It's a special treatment that one is paying extra for, while still permitting those no-frills travelers who merely want to get from point A to point B but unwilling to pay the surcharge. The airports and airlines are businesses, not charities.
If he wants to step off the plane in his Dress Blues and not in mufti with his glory jacket packed neatly, let him purchase the service if required, eh?
(Though it would show due gratitude for the airline to accommodate him in this small favor.)
Just use the right credit card and you get expedited security on United...
