Video at source.
Another show of disrespect for those who keep the idiots free.
Unless the airline has the ability to offer tho service, I think she was right to refuse. To accept the jacket also would have meant accepting liability for whatever might have happened to the jacket while the airline had it in its possession.
A related pet peeve regarding 1st Class:
why do the airports permit the airlines to set up special a expedited security line for first-class ticket holders?
Good grief, I would fire the flight attendant for the way that they handled this. Unbelievable. I always go up to service people and greet them friendly and thank them for their service. I could never be disrespectful to any veteran. I don’t care what side of politics they are on, they are heroes and very brave. I hope that FA’s picture hits the web.
Oh shut up.
Uuuummmmm - the airline accepted responsibility for the soldier’s life...why would his coat be such a problem?
There was obviously a place to hang the coat.
Thanks for saying that :-)
I fly a often, usually twice a week, I often fly first class, I often fly coach. Security has never treated me differently when I fly first class.
I’m not saying it doesn’t happen somewhere, maybe it does. I just haven’t seen it.
Might you be seeing the pre-check line for those who travel often? That is the only expedited security I’ve seen.
Obviously you’ve never pay out a large bill because you agreed to do favour for somebody and ended up on the hook for it.
Then the soldier should have bought a first class ticket if he wanted first class service.
That's not what that is. You are referring to 'TSA Pre-Check' which you apply for and pay about $85 and submit to a background check to use those expedited lines. The airlines and traveling class has nothing to do with it.
Go hang your jacket. :)
There you have it! We’re too stupid X 2 to make decisions. It might be racist, profiling, illegal, need legal opinion first, PCism, stupidity, ignorance.....whatever to do ANYTHING. There is NO DEFENSE for her actions, none! To pretend to make lame excuses for people like that is infuriating!!
Would you personally risk your life in combat for this soldier or any other US soldier?
You answer already indicates you would not.
Had I been there, I would have given him my seat and told the Obama supporting Flight attendant to STFU.
What a miserable life you must lead. Yes, I have done favors that cost me plenty - but I refuse to let small people control my life, my heart or my generosity.
Follow closely here - they have accepted responsibility for his life and safety...why would they be concerned about the jacket?
You obviously rarely fly - I assure you, the airline is not concerned about getting sued for his jacket.
