Last night President Obama made a rare appearance on the campaign trail to stump for Wisconsin Democrat Mary Burke, who is challenging Governor Scott Walker. During Obama's speech, in particular the moment when he encouraged people to vote and to knock on doors for Burke, people were caught on video filing out of the room.

Last week the same thing happened when President Obama spoke in deep blue Maryland.
With all due respect, although I understand and appreciate your approach, I think that is a bad strategy.
A blow-out Republican Senate victory will prove to the big government loving RINOcrats that they don't need the conservative base, on whom they have declared outright WAR, so you can forget about them becoming more conservative anytime soon.
Such an emboldened GOPe will be a disaster in 2016, to say nothing of its apparent determination to enact much of the Democrat agenda in the next two years.
You think it's crazy to say that Republicans intend to pass the Democrat agenda? Consider that:
The Republican leadership is lowering expectations about what they'll do if they take the Senate in 2014.

Oh, and best of all, now Republicans are promising that a Senate takeover will increase the odds of passing immigration reform. Republicans: Immigration reform is more likely to happen if we take the Senate
Well at least the Republicans will repeal Obamacare. Oh wait, they won't.
The only SLIM chance we have to save our country at this point is to demonstrate beyond a doubt that the GOPs "moderate" agenda is doomed to fail at the polls.
Only then will we have a chance of having a true conservative Presidential nominee in 2016, and the utter collapse of Democrat credibility after two more years of their control of the Senate.
It is terrible to consider two more years of Democrat Senate Control, but no less terrible to consider the result of GOPe control.

I respectfully disagree with you!!! Most folks are concentrating on the Pubbies talking the Senate!!! I’m not!!! I believe we wiil see the highest number of Republicans elected to the house in many a year...with the overwhelming majority of them being on the “conservative side”. I also believe that Speaker, John Boehner will have hs hands full, with conservatives drivng him nuts at every turn. And....that’s a ditto for state legislatures aross the entire country!!! I also believe the Pubbies will control the Senate....but, by a very slim margin!!!
Of course...i could be dead wrong about the Senate, because turnout means everything in a mid-term election, and while the Pubbie turn out will be strong, there are many folks, like yourself or, worse yet “trolls” who will whip up, “The sit on your hands, or vote Democrat” on this very site, by the score!!!
I believe that is exactly the wrong move. Why? Because...if the Pubbies win big next week, they better get in gear and put together a team of leaders that can win the POTUS in 2016.....and Mitch McConnell & John Boehner are totally incapable of doing such a thing!!! It is an exciting time to be a Pubbie....but not for many Freepers.....who refuse to see the forest but for the trees!!! Sad!!! I am getting lot of political calls this election. Dims calling, wanting to tell me what is wrong with my state of Alabama and how they are going to correct it. The lady starts off, “are you a dimocrat . . . “. By the time I quit laughing and telling her she had to be kidding, I was listening to a dead line!!!!! I guess she got the idea I would not be voting for the Stalin party candidate they are putting up here in the dim race. The state senator race for my area is also running a class A communist. The RINO ain’t any good, Del Marsh, but the commie they are running is far to the left of Stalin.
Of course the people finally waking up to this travesty will write books about how they were duped and demand Purple Hearts for their suffering, adding to the nausia the rest of us have been feeling for nearly seven years now.
