GOP lawmakers, Benghazi survivors fume over 'garbage' House report
Fox News ^ | December 03, 2014 | Adam Housley By Adam Housley

A recent report by a GOP-led committee that was seen as going easy on the Obama administration's Benghazi response is drawing stinging complaints from a number of Republicans on the panel, as well as survivors of the attack.

Some GOP members on the House Intelligence Committee grumble that the final product "might as well have been written by the minority," while other House Republicans say they are frustrated with the committee's decision to release a report with so many "holes."

Several lawmakers point their fingers at the committee's chairman, Rep. Mike Rogers, R-Mich. Some members who disagreed with the findings said they stopped going to meetings because of concerns with his handling of the report, and didn't even take part in the final version.

The report, released last month, found no intelligence lapses in connection with the fatal terror attack. Republican heavyweights like Sen. Lindsey Graham have blasted the findings as "garbage."

But the findings also drew complaints from survivors, who testified behind closed doors, and caused deep divisions on the committee itself ahead of the report's release. Critical lawmakers wished to remain anonymous due to fear of blowback from Republican leadership.

In my opinion the House Intelligence Committee report is a whitewash (are we still allowed to use that word?). Why, I have no idea. maybe to protect Obama and or Hillary. I don’t know, but I suspect the GOPe has struck again.

Looks like we have two GOPe-ers in the House named Rogers, Mike from MI and Hal from KY.

Both are either liars or morons, or, perhaps both!

Not really sure why anyone would expect anything else from this party of co-conspirators.

They are LIARS, and they are in up to their eyeballs.

I agree it is a whitewash. I read elsewhere that John Truscott, former spokesman for Republican Gov. John Engler, said Rogers was respected by both parties. The ONLY way the ‘RATS “respect” you is if you are amenable to subtly helping them to advance the progressive agenda.

The thing that stands out to me regarding Mike Rogers is that he (along with the highly intelligent John McCain and Little Lindsey Graham) was a strong advocate of arming & training the anti-Assad elements in Syria. You know, those elements that have mostly progressed into ISIS. So he has done plenty to help Islamists (and Islamist supporters) advance their interests. And for his to help protect the Muslim Brotherhood infiltrated Obama Regime does not surprise me at all.

I hope his radio career rapidly fizzles out.

How does this report affect Rep Trey Gowdy’s sub-committee?

I just can’t believe they did this. Allowed a cover up, in my view.

Watch were Mike Rogers ends up employed after his “retirement” this January.

I would bet he is paid hansomly by either the government or the firm that was paid by the government to smuggle weapons to syria though Lybia.
Boehner worked behind the scenes to help the whitewash because he was aware of the activities.

So Rogers took a fall for Obama. What a tool he’s become.

From the article....

"The State Department and CIA weren't the only entities involved. Some operators in Benghazi on the night of the attack, who are still working for U.S. agencies, insist there were at least eight elected members of Congress read in on controversial operations that were ongoing in the country, including some Republicans. Operators also tell Fox News that many of these operatives and operations were completely unknown to the Libyan government and that would have caused an international incident if they were revealed. They wonder whether that is the reason some Republicans have allegedly been treading lightly. "

There you have your answer.

I would say that if Gowdy had any intent at all of getting anywhere or uncovering anyone, he would not have ever been appointed to any committee.

He’s a showman, and his purpose is to make people think the GOP has teeth, which it clearly does not.

Well Gowdy is holding a hearing next Wednesday. Let’s see what he does. Does he interview the survivors Mike Rogers forgot to talk to. Or does Trey take a dive for the impotent Boehner and play Baghdad Bob.
