Hello all. Sitting here at home and wondering if anyone else out there is spending this evening alone.
On this night of all nights when families gather and friends share gifts and time, some of us are, for various reasons, spending Christmas Eve solo.
Not necessarily a bad thing - alone doesn't always mean lonely. But, it does mean alone.
Check in if that includes any of you, my fellow Freepers.

The ONLY solution is to have nothing to do with him. ;He won’t change unless he gets sober and works the steps. Most can stop drinking for a short time, but never change. Very few do what is necessary.

They will prompt you to get mom to write a will which, if you don’t have, you will have buzzards from all over the country trying to file claims against her and your dad’s estate.
Been there too. Bien Hoa Air Base. I was in Germany from 80 to 84, so I can relate.
Merry Christmas, all. I am alone and can’t sleep. I was supposed to spend the evening with my mentally ill adult son but he ruined another Christmas. I suspect he may be an alcoholic but he has always been a troublemaker.

Just drove to my local pharmacy to pick up my prescriptions for the coming month.
I know they are open until 9 PM but I should have had a clue as several big stores were closed on the way. Pharmacy was closed for Christmas Eve. So here I am back at home with coffee.
Will not get the pills until Friday after work. Bah humbug!
