Papa John's Pizza stands by employee who shot armed robber in self defense

This is good news, not only for the delivery driver victim, but for Papa Johns for doing the principled thing, even if the driver's action technically violated their company policy.

Now where are the FReepers who, in a previous post an hour and a half ago, said they would boycott Papa Johns because of this incident? Time for them to own up, do the right thing themselves and admit they were too quick on their triggers in bad-mouthing Papa Johns.

In a perfect world that’s what would happen. But all these racists have to do is complain, and they get what they want. The king has decreed they are the chosen ones and heaven help anyone who objects.

The pizza parlors in my neighborhood are small Mom and Pop enterprises, not chains like Papa John’s. They can’t afford a protracted legal battle.

The most certain way to increase robberies against your business is to fire employees who shoot robbers. One store dry goods chain in Knoxville, Tn fired a manager for shooting and killing a robber after his store had been hit multiple times. Robberies stopped while the corp HQ made a decision about his future. He was fired and now robbery of that chain’s stores is almost a weekly event.
