I'm not so sure Jews are so "alone" in maintaining the old New Deal coalition. Many other groups (Catholics, urban ethnics, union members, Blacks) are just as Democrat as ever.
The article defines liberalism primarily by economic positions. I would define it by moral/social positions. Decent people may disagree about economic policies, but not on the baseline standards of G-d for being civilized human beings.

Your sole purpose seems to be you trying to block conservatives discussing the voting and politics of liberal groups, why would you do that?

Related to the correction you recieved in post 89, you would have to go back to 1920 to see a republican getting 43% of the Jewish vote.
In 1920 Harding got 43% of the Jewish vote and Eugene Debs of the Socialist party received 38% of the Jewish vote, the democrats got the rest of it.

I could not disagree with your generalizations more.
I am Lutheran, but grew up in a Jewish urban neighborhood. My childhood friends were either Jewish, Catholic or Lutheran. My field has a large Jewish presence. I probably understand the cultural mindset of (largely secular) urban Jews than you.
Jews do not reject Christianity. They only think about it when people try to proselytize. It reminds those of us with a historical sense of the Inquisition.
I am sure you are a good person, but if I were Jewish, I would be deeply offended by your comments.

As for highly religious Jews they already tend to go along with Republicans. Why barnstorm them for what they are doing now.
