Former Maryland governor Martin O'Malley probably can't win the Democratic presidential nomination in 2016. But he can make things very uncomfortable for Hillary Clinton. Of late, he seems very committed to doing just that.
The latest gambit by O'Malley came Wednesday when he sent an e-mail to supporters pledging his opposition to the Trans-Pacific Partnership. "To me, opposing bad trade deals like TPP is just common sense," O'Malley wrote. "American workers whose jobs could be on the line right now are owed more than lip service. They deserve to know where leaders stand."

Gotta hand it to Marty, he’s being smart. He expects Hillary to implode and intends to be there when it happens. I’ll bet a lot of Dems will wish they had done what he is doing.

O'Malley and Webb. If there isn't viable completion against hillary, dems and independents will join the Republican Party and "vote for the worst". That would without a doubt be Jeb.
Then, the power elite, if it's hillary vs Jeb, have won before the election. They will have gotten to choose both candidates.

Let me tell you a little story about that.
In 2008 I saw Hillary as evil straight from Satan, and Obama as a wet behind the ears Marxist who couldn’t possibly win.
The Texas primary was moot at that point; McCain already had the nomination sewed up. So I voted in the Dem primary... for Obama.

Hillary! has to run in 2016, because her clock is ticking, and if she doesn't get it now, she will be too old to try again. Everyone else on the Dem side (except perhaps Biden) who would like to run for the nomination can afford, in both the time and money senses of the term, to wait until 2020.
Any Democrat with half a brain can see that the S will HTF sometime in the next five years, whether it be in foreign affairs--any one of about 40 conflicts throughout the world, from the Mideast to Africa to South Asia to East Asia--or the pain that will be necessary to institute eventual economic recovery, similar to what we experienced in the early 1980s. All it will take for Democrats to take the Presidency in 2020 is a GOP administration unable to handle the SHtingTF--and that shouldn't be too hard to ensure, they think, all they have to do is first get a DemLite a la Jeb in the WH if they can, and if they can't, obstruct and obfuscate for four years, and not make the mistake they did 36 years earlier by letting Cruz be Cruz or Walker be Walker, the way their forebears let Reagan be Reagan.
Only a truly narcissistic Democrat would want to be "Obama's third term," and the only two truly narcissistic Democrats are Obama, who isn't running, and Hillary!, who is. (Even Warren, who desperately wants to be President while saying she doesn't, a la Toranaga-sama in Shōgun, isn't stupid enough to run in 2016, unless she can create the illusion of being drafted to take the point for the sake of the unit.)
It wouldn't happen. If liberals have to vote in the Democratic primary, that means conservatives will choose the Republican nominee. It would force a Cruz/Walker ticket to campaign on constitutional conservative principles. And they'll win if they stay principled and present a vision of something better to a majority of US citizens, who realized they are not better off after eight years of Obama, and will be ready to return to greatness.

Nope... doesn’t want us to send people back to “certain death.” Mr. Hyperbole.
Here’s a theory.
Obama and Valerie don’t want a Dem to win. Hillary has too much baggage, they hate her; O’Malley is a nobody. Elizabeth Warren would please the insane left, but that’s not the point.
The point is that they’re going to leave a minefield of domestic and foreign disasters for a Republican to walk into; it will be so intractable and unsolvable that the Republican will surely fail. And then in 2020 they’ll complete the ruin of America.
