Hannity had on his show a Maryland Sheriff who is helping out in Baltimore who confirmed that the word he heard from Baltimore city cops was that Freddie Gray was bouncing himself around in the Police van trying to hurt himself.
He also confirms that through their interactions with Baltimore city police officers, that they were told to stand down by the mayor and that they were incredibly embarrassed by it and frustrated.
This sheriff doesnt mince words and also slammed Obama for a rush to judgement against police officers.
Watch the whole interview, its a good one:

It is possible the Gray was trying to hurt himself enough to make a police brutality claim and due to a sudden turn or stop ended up dead.
Little far fetched but I think it is possible.
Still too early to protest or riot about. Maybe we will know enough next week.
It’s like the woman who told Rolling Stone that she was gang raped by the frat house: fictional but true.
It’s t he myth that will live on.
I heard Juan Williams saying that George Zimmerman jumped Trayvon, that is why the Skittles Angel was pounding the neighborhood watch menace’s head into the pavement.
Juan is either delusional or he has a bad memory.
Interesting, but NOT surprising.
Regardless of his rap sheet though, nothing he did in the post warranted the injuries he received, assuming that it was police who caused those injuries.
Even if it was Jeffery Dahmer, I would be alarmed if police beat him to death, or placed him in a van and drove it in such a way that killed him as opposed to letting our legal system handle it.
Amen to rocks.
“The race baiters will never believe, even if it was caught on film.”
Today is a day of ‘caught on film’ (digitally, of course), with video cameras, smart phones, dash cameras. The police now how dash cameras and body cameras. This case begs the question, of course, but isn’t it time for cameras in the paddy wagons? Time to protect ourselves and the police from these ‘black Irish’!
you forgot the sarcasm tag.
True.
The easy way to tell a story is a hoax, is too see if they reach a conclusion or inference based on what is reported in the story. A true story reporting facts should never make an inference one way or the other. The prior injury story made the inference, that this is why he died from the injuries and the police are off the hook. The new story concerning the suspect banging himself against the van walls, makes no inference or conclusion. It just reports the data of the story.
obama takes the presidents bully pulpit to a whole new stratosphere.
“The want us to believe they just put him in the back of the van and he broke his own neck and crushed his own windpipe? I dont know man.”
If you were an ordinary poster I might give some credence to your skepticism, but from a Sooner fan, Never! :)
Well, even if this is true, we of course know that it is irrelevant. The truth is not relevant to the narrative. Even now, with the grand jury investigation and even Eric Holder’s own report proving that “hands up, don’t shoot” never occurred, it is still pushed to this day as valid.
Exactly. This is a definite possibility (at least as likely, in my opinion, as the "he was throwing himself around and trying to injure himself" theory).
Look at it this way. Suppose he was, in fact, injured before being placed in the van (which would be consistent with the video, where his legs just don't look right), and suppose the officers did, in fact, ignore his requests for medical attention (which is consistent with what the police commissioner has said). In that case, then he would have been laying in the back of the van, in shackles, possibly unable to feel his legs (due to the spinal injury) and/or unable to breathe (due to the larynx injury). If I were in that situation, then heck yeah, I would be desperately banging on the side of the van as hard as I can to get someone's attention, to get myself medical attention, to save my life.

And so would you be more outraged if it was, say, Bill Gates who got this treatment?
And then ask yourself why. Doesn’t that point to something in your soul?
It is how the ones who are deemed of little account by the world are treated, that we can measure the virtue or vice of the ones doing the treating. Not how the ones who are deemed of much account are treated. The well to do are treated well out of self interest or self flattery. The “losers” are treated well because it is believed that God wants it.
No this is not an encomium for modern liberals, because they despise their pets and that is not really “well treatment.”
You are totally correct.
