I won't say much about today. My consult with the Radiation/ONC doc went well. He's released me to HEME-ONC after doing his job, and he did a great job.

HEME/ONC was less than professional about working on me at closing time on a Friday. I knew that was coming.

They did not have my prescription for anti-nausea medication ready for me at closing time on Friday. Duh... So I get to cope as best I can until they get that straightened out. Trashcan close.

My left arm is practically useless since they bruised it so badly trying to stick me.

At least I'm not on the side of a mountain by myself during a blizzard... again....

Something to be grateful for.

I appreciate all of the prayers you guys have lifted for me.

I have no idea how bad it would have been without them.

Dishes don't wash themselves and food doesn't cook itself, so I've got to go handle mundane chores this evening.

SisterK thanks for starting this thread for Johnny. Johnny, we will continue to pray. I hope you can get some local help at home. We all know you are one tough guy but remember when you ask for help you are really doing others a favor. You give them an opportunity to be charitable which is good for them. have them put an infusion port in ASAP . that way you don’t get stuck so much. Call them for the nausea medication and keep bugging them till they call it in for you. It’s not narcotics and any doc can call it in for you.

Yeah Friday late afternoons horrible for “service.”

I had one of those 48 hour pumps during chemo. Everyone and their families packed in the small waiting room, I’m feeling like doggie doo, and wait over an hour past my appointment just to get de-accessed. The rushing the yanking and pulling on my chest port. Sorry but remember those late Friday afternoons:( Hang in there Bro.

Some things that might help nausea are Pantothenic Acid (a B vitamin) somewhere between 250 mg. and 500 mg. It supports adrenal function. Vitamin B6, 50 to 100 mg. It is recommended for seasickness, and I found it very helpful for nausea of pregnancy. Fresh ginger sliced and put into tea.
