No - Secrecy is killing the “deal”. When the actual content is secret, you cannot complain about “misinformation”.

President Jefferson negotiated the Louisiana Purchase with out congressional approval. Which was probably unconstitutional but nobody cared since it was the real estate deal of the millennium and done in the open.

I will go with what Senator Jeff Sessions has to say on this: Sen. Jeff Sessions: Top Five Concerns With Trade Promotion Authority

Well worth reading, Senator Sessions speaks truthfully, as he always does.

That is the market at work. That is in fact exactly how itworks

Think of Houston circa 1980 and now. Time is a factor

“Isolationist claptrap is just that. Most that oppose trade have not a glimmer of knowledge of how global trade enhances our daily lives. “

I’m old enough to remember what the USA was actually like when we were broadly middle class and before we were sold a bill by those that put the desire for imported cheap labor over country, and consolidation of business and media over the tangible benefits of competition.

Failure to defend our markets and economy and security, along with bailouts and crony capitalism running rampant, and never ending M&A are counterproductive to the nation. Money buying policy is not a solution to good government.

As one example lack of airline competition is one reason most of us see the flight as the worst part of travel. It’s why the media feeds us propaganda instead of facts. It’s why public CEO managers (not entrepreneurs) are getting mega bonuses instead of required to provide better service and make better products. Competition forces such outcome.

You may be right.

There may be "misinformation" circulating around this agreement.

The cure for that is to publish the full details of the plan.

I think you are the one with the misinformation, pal.

No new "free trade deals" if Zippy isn't allowed to pack his own secret sauce into an agreement?

How 'bout you go dig a hole to China, and maybe stop about half way?

Article:...."TPA is an abdication of Congress's authority, it would increase trade deficits, cede sovereign authority, reward currency manipulation and cause a flood of immigration...'Jeff Sessions'....

I absolutely agree with sessions on this... I will also add it will allow for 'a giant step' regarding the Globalist Agenda overall.....by removing the Authority of our Congress over trade it puts it all in the lap of the Globalists to determine regardless of how it might affect our nation....and then the door will swing wide for further losses to the US as a Sovereign Nation.

It was plainly stated on recent TV by a number of officials from previous administrations involved in past trade negotiations that the need for secrecy outweighs the public need to know. Such negotiations have always been confidential.

I can accept that especially knowing that the public could not understand the various points at various stages of ongoing negotiations.

Secret deals involving corporations and governments usually don't bother fascists.

you wouldn’t know a fascist if you met one on the street.

Your anti business attitude is reprehensible and more suited to an avowed moonbat.

If this bill is so great, how come it’s still classified?

This is not a report on a clandestine military operation against a hostile power. It’s a trade bill.

This ain’t no way to run what’s left of our republic.

The people of the world have moved far beyond your isolationist thinking.

Spoken like good compliant citizen of the world. The sadistic corrupt in D.C., Wall Street and the world banking cartels totally concur.

Brilliant.
