There is clearly something wrong with congress; there is an institutional corruption that works against freedom. That something occurred 102 years ago, when overnight we went from a mixed democratic/federal form to an entirely democratic form of government.
The only worthwhile amendments are structural in nature, changes which cannot be ignored or lawyered away.
Recall the dozens of states that opposed Obamacare, his despotic/executive amnesty, internet takeover and filed suit to stop him. Sixty-six of ninety-nine state houses are not in democrat hands. Yesterday, two states began legislative actions to stymie fag marriage.
There is clearly a building wave of resistance to tyranny.
We must take advantage of Article V now before the police state snuffs out our ability to peacefully restore freedom. History will not look kindly on a people who quietly walked into slavery.
Maybe so, maybe so. But then any losses on insurrection are tolerable too. The only issue is picking a side.
There are two types of exhaustion: physical and emotional. In the Civil War, the South surrendered only when they were physically exhausted. Same thing for Germany in WWII.
In Vietnam, we were nowhere near being physically exhausted, but the War lost its political support.
Despite the horrendous losses, the American Civil War never lost political support on either side.
We were still pretty stupid about the biology of pregnancy in ‘73. This faggotry beatification is of a different order. We know it is fundamentally sinful going in. For religious people this is a Rubicon event. By way of another analogy homosexual marriage is the final straw.
We have had evil and sinfulness piled upon us for a century or more. Satanists, atheists, humanists and Marxists have had their way with us until this moment. Now they have gone too far. An indelible line has been crossed. The madness must be stopped.
When the 17th Amendment was passed, the Senate became meaningless.
When the Senate became meaningless, the States became meaningless.
We are all “one state”, now.
Vermont is Vermont. Their weird combination of big city dropouts, pro-earth hippie types and a local population that's generations of Vermonter survive those tough winters. They're tough, they identify strongly with their state, and they have enough pride and wherewithal to make it work. Though they have an underclass with problems, they don't have inner city issues to deal with.
Hawaii. It's a question how they ever lost their independence to begin with, it was a lot of maneuvering by Dole that did it. There's still a monarchy that lays claim to an independent Hawaii.
We are well down all those roads and they are one-way streets.
We lacked the technology to understand the specifics, but we knew it was murder. That's why it had been against the law. We knew what it was.
And, no line has been crossed. We're not going to do a thing other than to make some minor adjustments, viz. "church" preachers will stop performing civil ceremonies, maybe. But homos were already a protected class in society. What did we do then? Nothing. This is no different.
The standing of 1,000,000 sounds large but when yo think half would probably defect if the South or mid west seceded. Many would take their hardware with them.
bfl
That’s exactly what I was referencing. Thanks.
Well, we all know that's NOT going to happen, ever.
Which makes the rest of this screed an intolerable bore.
The White Man has evolved as the most effective, efficient killer in the history of the human race.
No other race or ethnicity even comes close, combined.
The author makes some very good points. Some of them are already happening below the radar of mainstream America.
No doubt their are many patriotic blacks that will side with the Constitution if CW2 comes to play.
Only recently have we heard much about black Revolution patriots. Not saying they did not exist with much frequency, I would just like more proof from that period.
the outpouring of military hardware to LE agencies is part prepositioning, and part of the process of inculcation of local cops into being the Feds front line against uprisings.
Mmmmmmmm..... that did not work out so well for the Mexicans in 1836.
Probably work as well again.
Both the liberals and their plantation lackies will be fine when a race ignited CW2 starts. Their trouble will be tolerance of ‘their’ loses, which has historically led to their early praying for peace.
You reckon they will now also be counting on the queers to fight?
Sorry but article five is NO alternative. Amending the constitution is pointless when you have a supreme court that rewrites the law as it pleases. If our government followed the existing constitution there would be little need for amendments and there is no reason to believe they will follow an amended constitution any more than they follow the existing one. Many and I would probably argue most of the amendments that have been passed already were mistakes. If the tenth amendment of the bill of rights had been followed much of what we are concerned about would never have happened. You cannot solve the problem of lawbreaking by passing more and different laws, the greatest lawbreaker now is OUR OWN GOVERNMENT. As long as we have judges who follow the “living, breathing document” line of thinking it matters not at all what the constitution says. What that phrase really means is that the constitution that exists or an amended one means only what the judges wish it to mean. We need at least three more like Scalia or Thomas on the court before the constitution has any meaning again.
No, It doesn't. The Constitution of the United States means exactly what it says it means. If our current tribe of bureaucrats decide that reality no longer applies to them that's their own problem and unfortunately our own problem as well. We're letting them do this to us. Let's hope that there is still a peaceful way to deal with it.
Benjamin Martin: Would you tell me, please, Mister Howard, why should I trade one tyrant three thousand miles away for three thousand tyrants one mile away?
An elected legislature can trample a man’s rights as easily as a King can.
Really? I'm guessing that's just what the Romans thought as well.
