Last wed evening, 7/24, I fell down the stairs at home and broke my right humerus. Visited ER and got an x-ray, cast, etc.
At 9:45 in the morning, 7/29, I'm having a surgical procedure to put a rod in my humerus from the shoulder to elbow.
Asking for prayer. I know that God won't give us more than we can bear.

Prayers up!!! Your arm got broken cushioning your fall. A broken leg and torn op knee is much worse. How about a broken hip?

Oh, upchuck... I am so very sorry to hear this happened to you. Of course, I’ll pray: Dear Heavenly Father, I ask You today to be with our friend, upchuck. Heal his arm, Dear Lord. Give skill to his surgeon and compassion to his nurses. Ease his fears, Lord, and please minimize any discomfort. In This I Pray. Amen.

Miss those evenings! I am delivering the back to school packs to Patrick Air Force Base tonight...I enjoyed doing that for the patients who had family visiting before the start of school, so have found another way to please myself!

I know that God won't give us more than we can bear.
God doesn't put bad things on us. That would make him a villain. When bad things come into our lives, it's a perfect opportunity for us to draw close to Him. The grace and strength we need to endure comes from Him.
Your prayers certainly helped ad the surgery was a success. Doc insisted I stay in the hospital over night due to concerns about COPD. Got home yesterday, Thurs, July 30.
I’m still a lettle groggy but feel better today than yesterday.
