Seven Shot in Drive-By Near Boys and Girls Club in Rochester, New York

Three people were killed and four injured in a drive-by shooting outside a Boys and Girls Club in western New York on Wednesday.
Shots were fired into a crowd that had gathered after a basketball game in Rochester a few minutes before 11:30 p.m. ET, police said.
"Seven victims were shot and we've now confirmed that three were deceased," Rochester police chief Michael Ciminelli told reporters at the scene.
Police said they were waiting to release the names of those killed until their families had been notified. None of those hurt — all men between 20 and 29 years old — sustained life-threatening injuries.
"At least one or more occupants in the car fired shots form the car into the crowd that had gathered after a basketball game at the Boys and Girls Club," Ciminelli said. "At this point, there was no problem at the Boys and Girls Club. There was no problem with the basketball game."

Hard on the heels of more "disturbances" in St. Louis, comes this.
From reading the excerpt, it would seem the shooters were targeting specific people - the woundeds' injuries were not life-threatening - and it was in a crowd situation where they picked their targets.
This was a hit - who the target was, is up for discussion.

I live in a suburb of Rochester and this is exceptional only because three were shot on the same night.
Unbeknownst to most is that Rochester is the per capita murder capitol of NY State.
Back in the day, the city was one of the nicest in the country.
But ever since the 1964 riots ... oops, I mean "up rising" ... it's become a real friggin' toilet.

I know a guy who has lived in some very large cities. L.A., New York, Philly. A couple overseas. Says the only time he ever got mugged was about a block from campus while a student at RIT.
