The first of four Democratic debates before voting begins will not take place until mid-October - and three of them are on weekends. If the Democratic Party were trying to keep the audience to a minimum, it could hardly have drawn up a better plan. Equally troubling, candidates who participate in any debate not sanctioned by the DNC forfeit their right to join the official debates. Why would a party want to muzzle its candidates this way?
It doesn't take a cynic to believe that the DNC has the Clinton's campaign's best interests in mind. Front-runners almost always prefer to minimize the number of debates and their viewers, and the DNC chairwoman, Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, was co-chair of Clinton's 2008 presidential campaign. Martin O'Malley has accused her of rigging the schedule and the rules in Clinton's favor, and it's hard not to sympathize with him.
The DNC's priority should be to encourage broad discussion of the issues and give all candidates a chance to make their case. O'Malley is polling at about 2 percent, not far below where Fiorina stood before the second Republican debate. More time in the spotlight might not boost his standing, but voters should make that decision, not the party.

Her lawyers may be advising otherwise.
Hillary’s voter focus group hasn’t finish up the questions and best answers list to give to the moderators yet.
Two Saturday evening debates among the scheduled situations. If anyone throws up some decent NCAA football action....they might not even clear half-a-million viewers. One of them is the Saturday prior to Xmas and will likely compete against Frosty the Snowman or It’s a Wonderful Life. That one is going to be in New Hampshire, so the odds are some blizzard will occur and they cancel it anyway.
Good—she’s our best opponent.
Think I’ll market the Dem debate as a horror flick.
I’ll make millions.
So the DNC supports their front runner and the RNC despises their front runner.
What could go wrong?
The writer of this article does not understand. Clinton is not interested in debating the issues, she’s interested in a coronation.
Right? Right?....
['Rat debates hosted by the same leftists that do the GOP: Clinton News Network, SeeBS, Abc, Nbc, Compost]
Put the GOP debate hosted by pc liberals and imitation conservatives on prime time evenings and air the rat debate all on a weekend during football season. Guess they dont want us knowing what we already know about them
ONE REASON...........hillary robbem klipem speaks, and her numbers go down.
If you look at her, you will hear nails on a chalkboard.
Think of the optics of 29 million viewers for the republican debates and 500,000 for the libs. This might be good.
will the Democrat debates be broadcast in English, or in “The Jeb Bush Language of the Act of Love”?
Something totally odd going on here. Hillary stinks in all ways. Then there is Bernie. Supposedly Biden toys with the idea. He is running a not running campaign.
No seriousness on that side. We are about a year out.
I get this feeling that a big stunt is going to happen on the way to the election 2016. In 2008, we had a big financial crash.
Something is up, but I am not sure what.
“Where Are the Dem Debates?”
Dem debates?
Why do Democrats need debates when they’re all brilliant, intellectual geniuses who know all the answers, the nuances and all knowledge from the beginning of time? (Not only that, they all seem to goosestep rather well.)
IMHO
Only the Mainstream Media protects her from the Drip, Drip... Drip.
What’s to debate, they think exactly the same way.
Democrat debates????!!!
What sort of evil, vile, treacherous Witchcraft is this?!!!
Ferguson and Baltimore. Democrats don’t traditionally debate. They riot.
Have three debates only, and have Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, and Mark Levin host the debates. That’s the way they do us, maybe five, have Ann Coulter and Dana Loesch do them. That way, we are inclusive of women.
