Establishment (RINOs and Dems)including Fox News strategy is to ignore Ted Cruz
10/29/2015 | harris

Posted on 10/28/2015 11:35:38 PM PDT by Harris

Watching Bill O'Reilly discuss the debate I noticed what I had already come to believe is true (so maybe I'm seeing what I want to see or maybe I am seeing it the way it is). O'Reilly and Krauthammer basically ignored Ted Cruz in the debate. Ted Cruz set the tone of the media attack, but only was mentioned in a later segment.

Is Fox News carrying Rove/Bush water here? The leftist media and the RINO media seem to avoid discussing Cruz. Indeed the Fox team including Juan Williams and Bill O'Reilly delighted in pointing out that Cruz didn't answer the substantive question about debt (even though Cruz wanted to but was cut off).

Is there an implicit or even explicit effort to marginalize Cruz by ignoring him where possible and brushing over him where some comment is required? I am asking Freepers to take note of how the media tries not to discuss the most conservative candidate, Ted Cruz. Cruz is clearly a fear of the Bush team.

I ask this question because my observation, especially of Fox News, is that the strategy is to avoid mentioning Cruz. All the conservative websites show that commenters overwhelmingly favor Ted Cruz. By limiting Cruz references, the leftist media hurt Cruz with the low information crowd.

I haven't posted in years as I have preferred to be a consumer of information and so many have stated ideas such that my input wasn't necessary. That being said I am posting my opinion here separate from a mere comment. Having been here 18 years I hope I haven't violated any policies that may have been established since I last posted.

I noticed it clearly during the first and second debates. It’s not just you, in my own opinion. Media is in cahoots with RNC to ignore Cruz out of the race. I believe the Trump card is messing with the GOPe plans. I hope and pray it comes down to Trump/Cruz so that I can witness the Rats and the GOPe heads exploding simultaneously and for the next sixteen years.

Thanks for posting your thoughts.

I’ve noticed this among GOPe media figures and other mainstream media

It’s been going on for awhile. They act as if Cruz does not exist.

I have noticed that this is less so in the very recent past, as Jeb has disintegrated and Cruz polls third overall and even better in early primary states.

You’re not imagining things; I too noticed that Cruz was roundly ignored in the first and second debates. I’m so glad Cruz went nuclear on their smarmy MSM @sses tonight — that clip should go viral!!! (Especially if we help it, of course! Post that everywhere!) They all deserve to be called out on their prejudice against conservatives, and specifically against Cruz.

I agree 100%...been saying the same thing....

one of the reason they avoid him is they KNOW he can kick ass in ANY debate.....their answer to that is, Never engage him in any conversation cause he'll win!!!....

as someone pointed out on FR..the GOPe would rather have Hillery then Cruz,,,if Cruz was to get elected he'd make the entire Rino establishment obsolete in no time!!

Fox News is NOT a Conservative network. It’s a RINO Establishment mouthpiece sprinkled with a liberal amount of Democrat employees.

Conservatives need their own 24/7 news channel.

Hannity had Sen. Ted Cruz on right after the debate. He suggested that what he did was a historic event that has revealed the bias of the Lame Stream Media. Cruz was given high praise.

Look, that sucks, but it’s Cruz’s job to overcome that problem.

I assure you, they’d ignore Trump if he didn’t make it impossible for them to do so.

Cruz needs to figure out how to do it too.

I agree with Rush that he’s the thoroughbred Conservative, but no matter how pure a Conservative he is, and no matter how brilliant a debater he is, it’s of little use if he can’t go on the attack, pick his target and press his point home with facts, as Trump does.

Good news is, it sounds like he did just that at the debate tonight. Great.

Now he has to turn on that level of intensity every day.

Trump gets media attention by making strong accusations - that the dumb-dumbs in the MSM think are outrageous - until the accusations turn out to be 100% true.

Trump does it, Cruz needs to do it too.

Surely there's somebody with money that could do it. What's the problem? I don't get it.

I don't have cable or a tv but have seen One News America(?) a few times. Looked promising.

I imagine if someone did, you can believe the pressure on advertisers to boycott said network by the fascist left would be beyond belief. Frankly, maybe Trump should do it.

I think back in the ‘60s or ‘70s, Nixon toyed with the idea of getting some of his people to purchase CBS so that the public could get a balanced side to the ultraleft propaganda and lies of that era. Too bad they didn’t follow through.

It’s an utter disgrace that in a country that ostensibly has a Conservative plurality or majority, we are almost categorically shut out wholescale in network news media, print journalism/major newspapers, entertainment, et al, and it gets worse by the year. A small group of elites control it all, and they almost all uniformally hail from the left (or if they don’t, they’re forced to stay quiet).

I noticed it a long time ago.

Sadly, FOX is deliberately trying to influence the election by ignoring or downplaying anything about Cruz.

Even when they did show the clip of Cruz bringing it to the mods-they cut it to downplay the effect.

It has been obvious to me for much of the senatorial career of Cruz and, especially so, since the beginning of the Cruz presidential campaign. If marginalization of Cruz does not work, then the media will ridicule him and lie about his life and activities. The only chance Cruz has is the support of the millions of us who are fed up with the far left love affair from the media. We must attack the media relentlessly. Let them know we are on to their game and we have the power of the pen and electronic and the power to make note to the media by sending notice to their advertisers that we will, to the extent possible, avoid the purchase of their advertisers products or services and by not watching or listening to any of the media programs on which they advertise. We must unite in a common effort to take back our country from the corruption of evil intent of the entities that are systematically and intentionally and progressively destroying the divine greatness of the United States of America.

The MSM or Lame Stream Media will find out how quickly they become irrelevant. The American people will find out the information they want through alternate means.

I turned the channel when BOR during his opening mentioned Rubio’s media rant and then said only Cruz was most conservative as usual. I quit watching special report and the five in the spring because of their anti Cruz bias. I don't need to hear Kraut, Bolling, Gutfield etc dismiss and denigrate Cruz. I thought Cruz very impressive last night.
