Exclusive– GOP Campaigns Agree to Cut RNC Out of Debate Process, Negotiate Directly with Networks
Breitbart ^ | Nov 1, 2015 | Matthew Boyle

The 2016 GOP presidential campaigns agreed on Sunday evening to cut the Republican National Committee (RNC) out of the debate negotiation process and instead deal directly with networks moderating debates, Breitbart News has learned.

Corey Lewandowski, the campaign manager for frontrunner Donald Trump, confirmed to Breitbart News via phone on Sunday that the “biggest consensus” of five separate points the GOP campaigns agreed on was cutting the RNC out of the negotiations with the networks, as the campaigns would each like to negotiate with the networks directly.

In response to the revelation that the RNC will be cut out of the process, RNC chief spokesman Sean Spicer—the party’s point man on handling debates until now—said the RNC stands ready to help the candidates in any way they can.

Good plan. I don’t see many obstacles. It’s about time to get rid of the RNC and let the candidates run their own shows. I don’t like the RNC being their “handlers” and it is obvious that most of the candidates don’t trust the RNC anymore than the MSM.

(Follow up on Herman Cain trashing Trump on Judge Jeanine's show a couple minutes ago.)

He (Cain) said that the American people are tired of him insulting people and said that he needs to "get specific" on issues if he ever wants to see the white house. He then went on to say that Carson is "the engine" that America needs.

--

how pathetic trump is the only one with positions and he talks about them in detail every event and interviews. CARSON has not one position I have seen anywhere.

--

Trump has. What is Cain smoking?

--

No kidding, carson has NO written positions at all

Well you can tell them at post #86 if you want about what that poll showed back in July. You can see who lost 5% in the same poll and who gained 10% with the readers at Breitbart.

“The results of July’s Breitbart Primary are below:

1. Ted Cruz – 28.3%
2. Donald Trump – 27%
3. Ben Carson – 16.6%
4. Scott Walker – 10.1%
5. Rand Paul – 6.5%
6. Carly Fiorina – 3.1%
7. Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) 79% – 1.9%
8. Rick Perry – 1.5%
9. John Kasich – 1.1%
10. Bobby Jindal – 1.1%
11. Mitt Romney – .9”

I had to read that a few times to ferret out what they were saying but I don’t think they meant Trump agreed with Carson. I think they were saying that Carson was in the top two along with Trump but Carson was the one calling for everyone to be included. Trump doesn’t agree with that as far as I know.

I don’t know. Where has it been said that he is in charge of these negotiations? Has he said so or anyone else?

He may very well be but I think any of us could do a better job than Reince has done. The candidates are in the driver’s seat. It’s about time they all realized it. Whoever got the ball rolling good for them.

If Trump were not a candidate, do you think this situation would have occurred?

I think Carson sets a tone and other candidates do follow. He deserves a spot on Trump’s cabinet!
