Bingo, bingo, bingo. Even now I'm sure some MSM research team is going over ever last thing Cruz, etc. have ever written.
And they will find something, as no one writes without error. Perhaps they'll find that Cruz's high school grade point average was 3.7, when Cruz wrote it was 3.8.
Headline: "Cruz Lies About His Past!"
I love your reading material - the Daily Fail. What a disgusting, degrading thing to read. And guess what? I still don’t believe it so take your nasty article and shove it.
What story did you read? Politico’s version? Or Carson’s book?
Since Trump lied about his marriage vows him saying anything about this will show his hypocrisy.
>>I wrote: You might yourself ask how you could let Donald Trump turn you into a person just like him.
And in your reply you wrote: ...You are a Trump hater, and it shows bigtime. And you are backing a loser (to use a little Trump lingo)...
I rest my case.
And for the record I don’t hate Trump; I do think he’d make a terrible President, but I don’t hate him.
You mean, he said he wasn’t married 3 times? Color me Confused.
Yes. So sad that it only takes a little “twist” and everybody jumps on the bandwagon. Corrections and apologies appear on page 9 for a reason. After the damage is done, who cares what the truth is.
Yes I was listening to Rush in the car for a few minutes and I agree. Carson is talking himself out of the race with his Pyramid grain stuff and the West Point story seems like a fabrication. Carson has just admitted it today. The guy is screwy and not a good candidate. He is weak and his positions on the issues are terrible. He needs to go.
Trump needs to get rid of Rubio and wrap this thing up and get ready to face Hillary.
>>Rush has been superb on this story.<<
Yes, he has. Fortunately, I caught a few minutes of his show when he was on this or I’d be sitting here wondering what the hell went down, knowing full well that I couldn’t trust Politico to be providing an honest answer.
It’s interesting that the Trump lovers in here have suddenly decided to take Politico at its word...
It’s so obvious, no argument needed for anyone who is paying attention, that Trump is the one who has made all the changes happen over the last few months in presidential politics and beyond.
For one thing (a big one) nobody was taking the power away from the LSM before Trump did it. Nobody else was able to squash political correctness like he has. And most obvious of all reasons Trump is the man for the job is that he is strong/tough and he fights!
But if you feel superior and sleep better by going for the chisel (CRuz) when we need a jackhammer (Trump) then that is your right of course.
Lol.....Well, I think it's because you have not been here long enough. This forum put's the "silly" in to the silly season.
I’m a Trump supporter and I buy nothing on this story. Nothing. Carson should rise or fall on his political opinions and world view. Not some dumb story about West Point.
And Politico would NEVER lie or twist a story about a Conservative, would they.
Really? From the same media outlet that deep-sixed Herman Cain’s candidacy?
something smells.
The facts of the matter are he wasn’t offered a “scholarship” because that’s not how it works at West Point.
First they are called “appointments” not “scholarships”. He didn’t even get that right.
Second, Gen Westmoreland (or anyone) didn’t/doesn’t have the authority to offer appointments to anyone. You have to go through the application process, which includes obtaining a nomination typically from Congressmen, before anyone can offer you that.
Third, what he was probably being offered by the General, if anything at all who knows we only have Carson’s word that meeting even happened, but if anything he was offered assurances that if he applied he would get an appointment and the general would give him a nomination or help him get one.
That (the third point, well really all 3 together) is a big difference from getting a “full scholarship”! That implies West Point was offering it to hi already or that Gen Westmorland had the authority to offer it to him at that time! They didn’t!
Look, it’s perfectly reasonable to dislike him for embellishing, and quite frankly calls into question all his other claims about his temper. I’m being “led around” by relying on facts? Maybe you’re the one being “led around” by Rush Limbaugh (and anyone else apologizing for him at the moment).
>> I have no recollection of Cain âhalf-confessing.â What I remember is that he backed out because of his wife.
I have lived long enough to have a certain sense as to the veracity of people around me. If memory serves, Cain caved after the very plausible exposure of his THIRTEEN YEAR affair. His accuser was quite plausible. That’s on top of all the others. Yes, officially, he quit because he was concerned about his family. Unofficially, he was admitting to at least some of the impropriety he was accused of. When he’s asking for my vote and support, I get to include ALL the evidence, including his demeanor and that of his accusers. I do not check my eyes and ears and reasoning powers at the door when I am looking at candidates. Your mileage may vary.
>> Whether African-American men are good or bad, as long as they are conservative, they will be destroyed.
Or viciously attacked, at least. I get that. Not just A-A men, either. Ref: Condoleeza Rice, Janice Rogers Brown. But for the same reason that that indiscriminate attacking is wrong, it’s equally wrong to climb into the tank for them merely because they seem conservative and have black skin.
I want the best man or woman in the job of POTUS. In my highly supportable view, that man is not Ben Carson.
By the way, I shudder to think how a race between Herself and Ben Carson would turn out. It would be a house of horrors for “our” side, start to finish. He’s not up to the job of running against the spawn of satan. But that’s not the main reason why I’m against Carson — I don’t think he’s as fit as Cruz or Trump, and maybe not much of an improvement over Rubio, if any. THAT’s the real reason I want him out of there.
Yup! It is our right. I’ll take Cruz over Trump any day.
To be honest, something like this happened to my husband several years ago. And, yes, the correction is always on B9.
Well let's see. There's the West Point admission. His lying about his connection with Mannatech, which the Wall Street Journal detailed was much deeper than Carson claimed. And the story he tells about trying to stab someone, which nobody can find any corroboration for. That's three.
You are really mixed up.
You need to directly quote Carson to substantiate your assertions.
You won’t find the quotes because Politico fabricated claims on Carson’s part.
